  1. Resurrecting this thread, it's been awhile since I have updated you guys on my level 6 12s. The plan has changed over this summer, I was planning on putting these in the BMW but the cost and headache isn't worth it. So about 4 weeks ago I sold my bmw and picked up a 08 tbss (needed it to tow my 2013 rmk pro). As of right now I have the subs hooked up in my truck with one SAZ-1500d @.5 ohms. Yesterday I ordered my DC power 270xp alt and I picked up one DC 5k (for now) the amp and alt should be here next Friday. So this weekend I will run my power have everything ran and ready to hook up. I will post pictures this weekend when I get finished running my wires. Then when the amp and alt get here I will post up some videos. Sorry again guys for alittle over a year delay just had some prioritys to take care of.

  3. the resin is NO JOKE! Put it this way, tomorrow, when i clock in, i will take the piece of cardboard i placed over my cup, off the cup, and go right back to work. As long as that cup (and brush) don't get hit with sunlight, they will stay wet forever. The second my project hits the sun, it locks up. This shit is amazing. I will be selling it by the Quart, Gallon, and 5 gallon soon. It is a little more expensive then your standard high quality resin, but it is worth it as far as no waste, no wasted cups, no wasted brushes, very little prep, no catalyst.....matter of fact, pour it in the cup and go right to work lol....no mixing, nothing just go to town. The 1qt. cans of it will be easy to ship with no special hazmat requirments so they will be cheap. I will hook people up with free samples so you can see just how awesome it is. Put it this way, i have a brand new 5 gallon drum of regular resin and i haven't used it at all. I did the entire Lexus with the new "Sunflash" and i don't ever want to go back to the other stuff again The pictures you see above is little and no effort compared to the old way. I didn't even break a sweat. Usually, you are working so fast because it's about to cure any minute, you are sweating bullets. I do. DID i should say. you can get a UV light as well for times when there is no sun but you need to work anyway. Or use the SunFlash on nice sunny days and the other crap on cloudy days. Within 2 weeks i will have it ready for sale. back on topic.

  4. Time for some fiberglass. I wish i could hook up wires right now and listen to the system, but i know me, and i won't rest until this thing looks good too. So here we go. This is the reason i almost never throw any scraps away. Gotta be a real worthless piece of scrap to ever make it to the trash at my shop cutting some 3/16" strips for "framing" around the window and trunk hinges. A little Kerf Cut to get it to bend over the radius just right. I got it wet too so it was not as brittle. Framing around the trunk hinges. the NEWEST SMD product about to be released. SMD SunFlash. Its UV acitvated. No catalyst required. You work right out of the jug. One brush, one cup, all day every day. No waste. Take your time....and when ready, bring it out to the sun and it sets up in about 1 minute, 2 tops. Its so easy, it makes it FUN to fiberglass! I am getting my packaging, labeling and all the fine details hammered out but yes, i will have my OWN RESIN soon! Watch out for it! ran out of fiberglass - so i am done for today. More tomorrow! that's all for today! 5. EVERYTHING IS SO DIRTY, I KNOW!! I will power wash it soon and start thinking about paint. A new XS Power D5100 under the hood. This car now has 7 XS Power Batteries and a Mechman 220a Alternator. The old beloved RF terminals with pressure fittings are too big and i can't close the hood with them on. Time to grab some other ones. These will do! I am glad i never thow anything away!! These bad boys fill my tank from ZERO PSI to 200 PSI in 4 minutes. That Mechman alt comes in handy for that! Doesn't even blink an eye and those pumps pull some amperage!

  6. Whats another roll of solder....noooo problem LOL I love the RF wire! there is TONS of 1/0 AND 2/0 in this car.... I had Antheny drill all the holes and the holes on the larger bar should have been closer to the edge for the fuses to grab onto better. They are a little further out then i expected but i used some large washers to make up the difference. Time to cover up all of it and give myself a platform to work from. I plan on cutting a window in this so you will be able to see the wires and i will also light it all up. Should look SWEET when done. I hope. I was just bumping some Doja Clik shit and realized how awesome this thing sounds over the optical cable...man, i really think this shit is going to sound great when i am done. I ordered 4 Rockford Fosgate T2500.1 BD CP amps on Friday. So far here is the plan. I am going to mount them on these little boxes. 2 amps per box. The wires will dive into the box and look ultra clean. The box will be removable, on a guide and lock into place, with the amps still on them. There will be plenty of slack in the wiring so i can pull them all the way out if i want and work on the gains, Xover settings, etc. One thing i HATE is installing my amps and not being able to get to my dials. To make the dials easy to get to, they will be mounted upside down, but still vertical as shown. I will be installing a cooling system to keep the trunk air circulating. So plexi glass window looking down into the battery rack, and a bunch of mirrors on the side walls, as well as a nice trim-job to make it all look nice.....stay tuned! More updates coming soon!

  7. Tap that asss. LOL These batteries are SHOEHORNED in LOL I didn't buy enough of the 1 1/2" to make 4 bars.....but i did have a piece of 2" laying around. Its a little wider but won't hurt anything. Turning 3 fuse holders into 6. Fuse it or lose it! Any wire that touches a battery in this car has a fuse. I had to use a few extra washers to keep the bolts from hitting the battery. They are just a HAIR too long. Its no prob though. You know me, i like to solder EVERY wire in the car. This is the reason my rides last as long as they do. I build them to LAST.

  8. Care to elaborate on this a bit? Haha maybe I misunderstand what you are saying but who wouldn't need a way to mount their amps?
