Is it bad idea to TechFlex both power and ground wire together? They're only 4 Gauge wire so I figured I put them into 1 tech flex run...

Yah i dont see an issue. You were gonna put them in separate techflex sleeves anyway and lay them right next to eachother. I dont see how thats different from putting both together in one over sized sleeve. Then again i dont know much about this lol.

Can 5k watt rms of bass mess up 3 day old newly tinted windows? They say it takes about 5 days until I can roll down my windows and up to 4-5 weeks until the tint settles

I remember while back when my PPI amp that I bought from them stop working (internal fuses didn't blow) and they let me RMA it back to them and get store credit. Their customer service use to be really good. For example, they use to give me like $5 store credit whenever I order something that wasn't in stock when it was suppose to be. Now a days, I don't get store credit and pretty much have to wait for the back order or cancel. I have a couple of fuse holders that I need in order to finish my builds but it's on backorder. SonicElectronix must have new management because customer service has been shit. -
I'm looking forward to the West Coast Customs Second Skin Audio episode. I redid my trunk Lid today: Got my Free Second Skin Audio Speaker Tweaker into my doors finally. It didn't need any more Damp Pro but I added some bigger sheets to my door anyway for better looks. Other sound deadening I've tried in the past just doesn't work... For example, here's a picture of Elemental Designs eDead vse1. five years later... the foil on it is starting to come apart and the adhesive is not sticking as great: Here's a picture of Second Skin Audio sound deadening on doors taken from 2012: Here's the same door picture taken 5 years later in 2017: Get your sound deadening done right the first time and go with Second Skin Damp Pro. Once you stick it on, it stays on - done.

The freaken adhesive from my Elemental Designs eDead vse1 sound deadening is just coming apart in my back seat area. Even the foil on top of the adhesive is easily peeled off :(. Having to redo everything with Second Skin Audio Damp Pro.

Wow. I was actually looking for a Dash cam lately. Been thinking about the Thinkware 770 but I read how if you have sub woofers it would keep triggering the shock censor thing and keep saving recordings in a folder. I'm looking forward to seeing more video reviews from the one you got. I've been waiting for Thinkware 800 to come out in June for price drops to hit on the 770. Dash cams seem confusing when you want to hardwire it and have to buy additional " Cellink B battery" for them (probably doesn't even need these specific made batteries if you can just have it wired off an XS Power batter or two). I think XS Power should make some batteries geared towards "secondary/third battery for dash cams" Can you show us what it looks like when your system is on Full Tilt while driving? Does it shake the hell out of the video footage?

Hmm. I'm getting Suntek CIR for $325 (discount price) - All windows except front windshield. - 35% legal tint. The shop recommended 25% for my Camry because of the light interior but I wanted to stay live 35%. Thoughts?

Just bought them today and prob wont get it until next week. I originally only needed the 2 channel runs but I decided to go ahead and buy the 4 channel ones anyway.
My current Knukonceptz 2 channel ones going to the DC5K was all jacked up and ghetto rigged to extend the run to the trunk and needs a replacement.

Should have bought my XS Power XS Power 598 Billet from SMD store for faster service. Bought it from soundsolutionsaudio on 2/11/17 and it's still being 'assembled' and has not shipped.

I hate ssa. But that's me. They just made money off of you and drop shipped it. Why not just order from who made the thing? I would have talked to Xs direct. But again just me. Why buy something from a 2nd party?!?

They offered free shipping and cheaper cost than XS Power price. SMD Store offered same price but doesn't have free shipping. But yeah, I probably should have bought it directly from XS Power because the one I got from SSA looks like it was used.

Autoshop owner said he needed 2 days when I dropped my car off. I called on second day 1 hour before closing and he said he needed more time and will give me a call tomorrow morning. So... is it normal for them to not give me updates ahead of time if they needed more time? I thought it was weird that I had to call them instead of them calling me with the updates.

If its a small independent like mine if you are busy you tend to lose track of who needs to be called. I dont have multiple "service writers" that can sit and just make calls all day like you would get at a dealer. He may have lost track and forgot to call.

It's a small shop and he's had it since 1981. I think the business is mainly ran by him and his son (early thirties) and a few older mechanic guys. Last time I was there I can see his three year old grandson chillin at the front desk with them. I pretty much just showed up and payed the bill and shook his hand and said thanks for working on my car.
I asked him how was it working on the Camry and he noted that there were a lot of water everywhere when he did the valve gasket changing. He also asked me if I did my own oil change because he noticed there was something down the oil pan area that needs replacement (probably needs a new washer for the bolt).
Overall, he was a man of very few words but my instincts tell me he does good work when he needs to complete any given task and he's not afraid to keep the car for a couple more days to make sure it gets done right.
My co-worker was the one that recommended the shop and also let me know that the old mechanic owner there is just and old grumpy guy but does good work (he had 3 cars done there).
Also, I tried to ask the old guy if it would be possible to get dual alternators going in my Camry with custom brackets and he kinda refused that job request lol. Dude didn't even recommend any other shops that might be able to do it ( I guess it's not that common to have dual alts in a Camry).

Hmm. Was amp mounted to box? If so how long did you have it mounted like that? I'm asking because I'm worried this will happen to my DC5K... Although, I did have CJ18 build the box with double layers in the back so that I could mount my amp but is that enough to not break the amp due to vibration?

Lol. Just realized today that my Negative run on the ALT to battery is some cheap CCA wire because I ran out of OFC wire when I did my install. The positive is fine though (0 Gauge Knu Kollosus Flex OFC). Hoping for better voltage once I swap out that CCA crap on the negative line to OFC.
