I am quite sure they do. I do know what time of year it is. I wasn't complaining, even though it seems that way. It's just one of those instances where your hopes are up to receive stuff you ordered, and then it doesn't happen. my bad

Slowly coming together. My cuts aren't perfect, so I'm going to have to do some filling in some places, but being this is only the second time I've tried making my own enclosure, first time in 5 years, I'm not too upset about it. Only cuts left are the sub cutouts on the double baffle. Will the .75" difference between counter sinking the subs and not counter sinking make any kind of difference?

Who wants some pictures? Everyone wants pictures, that's who! No pictures of the woodwork yet (because who cares about seeing wood being cut?) but I started the day off with taking the amps, battery, and subs and the pre-fab enclosure out. It's like there's a whole bunch of space hiding back there. It was very solemn to do this though. Old amp rack I designed to fit in the not-as-wide-assed-as-the-Tahoe-Explorer. Monoblock, 4-channel, and battery with some olddddd no-name wires laying about. I believe I have found the reason for the loss in output I experienced over the weekend. I had two broken screws, and the glue joints on the baffle next to that same sub had separated. After almost four years of having that enclosure, not bad results from that little prefab My subs are a little dirty, the surrounds are scuffed, but overall I feel like they're in pretty good shape for the abuse I have put them through in three years. And this will be my arsenal (excluding mids and highs) Thank you to n8 and dollarbilz for the AQ amps, priced very well(cheap) for their good condition imo. That's all I have picture-wise. I made a mistake and wasted some wood by measuring and making the same cuts twice. So I think I'll just make use of the extra port wall and cut it into shape for my battery. Tomorrow should be the last day for cuts, then it's all sand, glue, and screw.

andddd i think it's time to call it a day after drawing the first port wall for a second time and not realizing it until after i already cut it. Start with a clear and fresh mind tomorrow, finish my last three cuts needed for the enclosure, and use the leftovers for the amp/batt rack. and hopefully not need to purchase another sheet of birch.

Took out the amps, battery, and subs so I can clean and deaden the back. It's so quiet and lonely without music

I hated it when i was trying to do my doors and only had subs. It brought all of my rattles to my attention.
Next time i'm out in San Diego i'll make another trip up to Temecula and maybe you'll have your tunes back up and playing, Orion. Didn't get a chance to see the stang when i was out there for thanksgiving last year.

Thank you. This week should actually show some progress and not just talk Yeah the prices scared me a bit too, I was pretty glad when Kyle hooked me up with Scott's email. This one is two pair in, four out, and he charged me $85 shipped which isn't all that bad IMO. so, $267.56 later, i have two sheets of 3/4" birch-ply, two sawhorses, a new porter-cable sander (shitty black & decker sander attachment for the matrix started separating from the velcro that holds the sandpaper on it), lots of sandpaper from 80-2000 grit (gonna make some things really shiny hopefully ), wood screws, six tubes of liquid nails, and four 1" X 36" wooden dowels for bracing and legs. Edit: for some reason, Firefox won't allow me to use any image code from photobucket to post pictures, so here it is from mobile. Tomorrow I will get started, and hopefully don't get shit for doing this on the patio of my apartment. Pictures will be taken as I go. And sound deadening the rear hatch and under the carpet of course

Well, newest item is now a TORK2 relay kit from Tony C (aka snafu). Also bought one of his books to give to my cousin for Christmas. And now all of my money is going into supplies to build a new enclosure. I intend to use some birch-ply. I'm off all week, and the temps aren't that bad, so I'll probably have it done by end of day Christmas (wife works Christmas Day, so we won't be driving to see family until saturday). I've got a pretty good idea for my amp/batt rack IMO. Or maybe simple is a better word... I'm gonna buy everything I need tonight, and get started tomorrow. Tomorrow will be all about that rack, and depending on how long that takes, I may get started on the enclosure as well. Measure eight times, cut once, cause i can't afford a whole lot of wood. The amp/batt rack is going to hold my XS Power D4700, SoundQubed 3500, both AQ two-channels, AQ 4-channel, TORK2, and cockbox. Until I buy more wire and redo my doors/A-pillars, the two-channels and cockbox won't be used. Stay tuned

Remember, even 4ohm speakers don't stay 4ohm once they get music to them

4 ohm is just a placeholder for DC since there is no conversion from DC resistance to AC impedance.

I haven't had my DRLs working since I bought it, so I figured it was time to make them work again. I took a look through the lense, and the bulbs had broken filaments. I swapped the passengers side, then when I went to the drivers side, the socket was melted and scorched And here it is replaced Also did the 4-high mod (low beams and high beams on when set to high beams for those that don't know) and thought about making it the 4-low/6-high, but decided not to. Not just yet. Only audio updates I have are I just purchased a cockbox from Scott bowman, and I bought an iPod classic 7th gen 120gb to replace my very broken iPhone 5 that vibrated apart If I can get a dry day, I'll go out and clean up all of the grounds (factory and aftermarket) and see if that will help to clear the "service brake booster" message I get on my DIC every time I drive

I like it!! Looks nice!! And I don't think the circuit card will have any issues with moving/becoming dislodged, because that's a really tight fit now I REALLY want to get to work on my "rebuild"

Still no updates. Still need to buy wiring and a few other items before I start rebuilding. The amp/batt rack and new enclosure will be the first things done before redoing the doors and A-pillars. But I did buy one thing that I've been waiting to come out for a while Thanks Steve!! And Antheny, who took over in emailing me, and set me up with an invoice. It'll be a little while before I have it installed though. One step (purchase) at a time (every payday).
