Ok, I have these same subs on my sundown 3k at .5 ohms. Granted they arent getting a full 3k watts though. But if you are going to try to throw 1k to each one, then your going to need to make the box smaller to be able to control the cone and not bottom them out. I'm running a box that is 3 cubes with 48 inches of port area tuned to 33 hz. But i have to put this in there, I don't listen to it full volume though. I only have it full volume for no more than 2 minutes at a time, and even then they got extremely hot afterward and smelt. So BE CAREFULL.

The butterfly valves on the TBI might be dirty and not allowing enough air to pass through.

you can go to radio shack and get a make your own harness. They are in the drawers with the relay, diodes, leds, etc. pretty cheap too.

I've ran the pioneer shallow mount in my truck before. Decent for what it is. But to be honest I have seen not heard the new type R shallow mounts and they are impressive. Might want to look into them. They have same amount of excursion as the regular ones do (or just shy). If I had to choose a beefy shallow mount alpine Type R shallow is the route I would go.

I believe the frame rails are the same between the gas and diesel versions of that body style dodge. If I was still living in my old neighborhood I could tell you for sure since I have a buddy with a 97 v10 2500, and another with a 97 cummins, both 4x4. I can see if I can call him up ask if he could check it out and see if they are the same.
