  1. I remembered the group, cause I'm old, but I had to look up the song hehehe.
  2. If you have to ask, then you aren't ready for 16v. 16v batteries need to charge at 18v, just saying.
  3. Jacob actually answered this once before, it was an Album/Song by a rock group "The Outlaws". I think it was called "Hurry Sundown" or something like that.
  4. I am getting so fucking sick of hearing this. First of all, there is work and plenty of it. People just either do not want it or are not educated/skilled enough for it. I am hearing way to many employers including mine using this shit as a defense to all the crooked bullshit that they do to employees. My company is working with a total of 12 people right now. One year ago we had 27 and two years ago we had over 40. Business is slow, i get this. Times are tough, i get this too. But when your employees get sick and tired of doing 3x as much work for the same pay because the company does not want to hire a few more people and the response is "be happy you have a job". Dont tell me I have to work harder and put up with more bullshit because you think this is the only job I am qualified for. There may be work and plenty of it, but there are not enough available positions for people to get hired to do that work. Unemployment in Florida is still at an all time high. Ive been laid off 2 times in the last 2 years. I'm not a lazy fuck, I found work again both times, but don't go flying off the handle saying that shit. Most of the work down here at least in IT is contract work. I cannot count on contract work because I have kids and I need to keep them insured. Businesses are still not hiring down here. If they don't hire, there are no available positions for unemployeed people to find work, or for people not happy with where they are to find something else. So yes, be happy you have a job if you have one. IF you want to find something else, do that before you quit, not after.
  5. Where is it mounted? Is it above the muffler or something? If no subs are hooked up, it should not be producing heat. If you want to test that theory, disconnect the amp (power and ground) and leave it mounted where it is. See if it gets hot. If it does, its just ambient heat and nothing to do with the amp at all.
  6. Let me echo these comments, thanks for serving our Country and keeping us all safe from the real haters. Congrats on your seperation orders!!
  7. Thats much better!! Very nice. I eagerly await your explaination.
  8. Having 2 solid blocks like that will result in the fuses being used in parallel. For example, if you have 3 250amp fuses, that whole setup will be acting like a single 750amp fuse, not individual 250amp fuses.
  9. You should do a build log on this, including videos of the first test drive. I'm sure that will be very entertaining!!
  10. Just be aware, that is Copper Clad Aluminum wire and can only handle 250 amps vs Knu's Kolossus Fleks cable that is Oxygen Free Copper which handles 300 amps. Both are good wire though and the CCA stuff is not as expensive. Knu as a company is great. They have excellent speaker and rca cable as well. Can't go wrong with anything they make.
  11. I've always used Outlook. But if you don't want to install that, Outlook Express is free.
  12. I think a lot of it comes down to parenting. Back when I was growing up, my parents taught us right from wrong, as well as respect. You knew that when you did something wrong, you hoped you didn't get caught. But when you did get caught, you sure as hell DID NOT talk back or throw a fit like some of the panty wipes here. People these days do not take responsibility for their own actions. The rules here are not very strict. If you can't even follow these rules, you just need to grow the f*ck up and be a man instead of a whiny 4 year old. Steve I love this site, keep it up!! /rant.
  13. If its OFC Copper wire, 4gauge should handle 150amps of current. As long as the amps draw is less than that you should be ok. I don't think an 800 watt amp would take that much.
  14. Lol dude i dont need that much power thats why you tune the gains to make the amp output what you want. edit: and if you ever upgrade you always have that extra power on tap. So i could put it on 4 ohms and get 500? No, he said if you have it wired at 1ohm, you can just turn down the gain on the amp until it puts out just the power that you need. You should have an Oscope or a DMM to set them to a specific voltage/wattage though.
  15. You are now a member of Awesome World. You break shit and have class at the same time, thats really hard to do. Oh, and cool story bro!! Really though, thats some cool shit right there. And you made us bassheads look good in how you handled it.
  16. Coulc you provide a link to the page that has that price? I go there and it is $3.40 per foot.
  17. I think the question meant, are you going to be charging at 18v and running 16v batts or charging at 16v and running 14v batts?
