why were the subs only strapped down and not screwed in? or do you mean the whole box fell over? you are not describing a clipped signal. you are describing some random tone that you are not introducing. could be something that is no longer being filtered out or maybe the pwm is sending a signal when it shouldnt... i dunno, just guessing here. but i would be surprised if there is anything you could see wrong with it. electronics are delicate and dont like being hit by hard heavy objects. lol.

if the person who installed the HU originally use a wire harness then it should be as simple as putting the colors together. the wires from your HU should match the wires on the harness in the car.

the stinger ones need to be adjusted. it'll have a knob for doing that. you will just need a DMM to get your accurate reading 1st.

are all your settings the same? maybe you had "loudness" on high on the pioneer or something. the down grade in preout voltage will make a big difference.

just so you know, in case you dont, all the vocals will be played through your midrange speakers, not tweeters. so while the tweeters are still important for a complete sound stage, make sure you have some killer midrange speakers. those are the ones you will hear the most.

yes, it will help. covering/sealing the large holes in the door will do a lot of good for midbass too. you can do that a few different ways, i cut sheet metal to size and used self tappers and caulk to hold it on. then damplifier on that. for rattles you can use closed cell foam between the metal skin and the plastic panel. that should take care of any of that high pitch crap. like this

25-50% coverage will do a ton of good. you really dont NEED layers of it. of course we love to go crazy with everything and it will make a difference but if money is tight, use damp pro and 25-50% coverage.

eclipse is correct. its ohms law. remember that music is dynamic and fuses dont pop as soon as they see over their rating. a 150amp fuse could take 200amps for about 5-10 min. there is also the posibility that the amp is over rated and doesnt really do that much power. as an example, my amps could be drawing 205amps but i have 160amps of fusing on each amp.

my method is to use slow drying resin. then i can take my time, no rush, no wasted resin hardening up in the cup. then when your all done you put a heat lamp next to it and it'll dry up for you.

you could use the dash as your mold then modify it how you want.

they sound absolutely perfect. except i need 6.5" midbass drivers lol. working on any of those?
