  1. it does splinter and can be a bitch, so i prefer MDF in that aspect. also MDF has smoother rounded edges. for my next build tho, i'll probably use birch for the box, and MDF for any visual front piece due to the smoothness of it. unless i want the front stained (stained looks are so damn sexy)
  2. also, the phase on the amp reverses polarity
  3. the thread should have ended after this post.
  4. ah i think the blue is sexy! black is too, so either is a win-win. that window trim does look nice blacked out too
  5. while i agree with no vs threads, there's been a couple where it wasn't quite 'is this xxx louder than that xxx?' but more of which equipment would be best for their specific install. given that certain equipment is already owned, certain things would or wouldn't work best, in which i can see someone asking if they're unsure lol sorry for that, just thought i'd point it out
  6. no for video like recording whats on your screen like what people use for gameplay videos and stuff ha! i knew it wasn't that easy of a question. i just see lots of people take pictures of their monitors to post their screen lol
  7. such at the PrtScn button? and paste into MS paint? or the snippet tool or you talking about something else?
  8. i think that was when i first got my phone. i am happy with the scale of editability (if that's even a word) i can do on my phone.
  9. why call it a 22k prototype if it's just multiple amps? attention?
  10. my gf has a nikon D9 that's pretty damn beastly. i want to borrow it but i'm scared to death i'll drop the thing. or scratch it. or leave a fingerprint on it. i enjoy some good pictures myself, but never get around to taking any. i got two that i took of her eye up close and edited on my phone which i like, i'll upload those soon, time for dinner lol
  11. haha same here. i had to double take a look at the volume and port to make sure i was seeing right. shrinking the port will help. but it will also lower tuning significantly. cut the surface area in half and that puts you in the high 20's for tuning. so port length would need to be removed to accommodate
  12. generally higher frequencies score higher
  13. damn! i didn't know you had to assemble them. bet that's fun lol. nice to know they're being tested as well.
  14. that there makes me happy! probably will get one when i get my money from school lol. just to have it here even tho i have no audioz
  15. how do you manage to get some of the shots you get? like the bird landing on the nest with its wings fully open? luck of the draw? or you click click click click till you get the right one and delete the duds? pictures look very nice. my gf has a nikon d9, she's pretty into photography. does it for her work and does her own weddings sometimes. i'd like to try to get her to go out and take some nice ones. she's a good pic editor too
  16. music is too dynamic to worry about rise imo. just plug n play.
  17. it's just a longer slot port. some people do it in order to fit the port length that they want due to space constrictions. there ism howeverm more resistance through the port due to so many angles
  18. there's all kinds of apps that run, lots of bloatware that comes on the phone. i have mine set to kill em every hour or something i think. there's as many as like 14 tasks that gets killed sometimes. and yeah it's most likely quieter than an ipod. ipods get damn loud. hell some of my older phones were louder, this new one i got is stupid quiet. but i don't care too much, small issue compared to every other perk
  19. something you may want to get if you don't already have one is advanced task killer. i set mine to kill tasks that run in the background every so often. helps prevent them from eating battery life. prevent the amount of apps that you have that use data like weather, certain widgets, etc. i have a weather widget that updates every 2 hours and a word of the day widget and that's all that really uses my data throughout the day unless i open something myself. also dim the back light to the dullest you can but bright enough that you're still happy with it. i think mine is just under halfway on the bar. i've done this my last two phones and did it to my sisters phone and they last much longer. hers used to die halfway into the day lol. but then lasted about twice that afterwards
  20. i ordered the skull crushers after reading this thread since i saw the bass part mentioned and i got them fairly cheap and yes, i like them very much. except on some frequencies it seems like one side is louder than the other. could be the song, could be the way they fit onto my head, i dno. i still enjoy them lots
  21. some parts make me laugh, but i think they try too hard. i laughed when fps russia pulled the gun on the drive thru speaker lol
