Your best bet would be to find some place that will sell it on consignment otherwise you're going to get screwed.

Jewelry doesn't hold value like people think it does.

It especially doesn't have value to a jeweler who likely paid much less than half of what they sold it to you for.

I took a ring, had it appraised, then went to a jewelry store and asked if they had a client looking for something like it, or if they would put it on consignment. Sold it for about 500 less than it appraised, which was about 4k.
