  1. No infrared but enough to smell them. Tuning as of now is 27, think tuning higher may help? I have been playing low music on purpose so that I do not play too high above tuning but even then it's still warm. I'm going to cut ports next but other than that I'm unsure as to why they're running warm.
  2. So I reset it, tuned it to track 3 and it's still running warmer than I'd like. 3 is considered the safest right? My voltage is mid to high 12s so it's not bad.
  3. Hey I've been setting gains quite nicely with the dd-1 but I have a question. If you set the gain on your master amp and it doesn't distort, then throw in a slave after its already been set, do you need to re tune the gain on the master? Let me know, thanks!
  4. Lmao. It's great when people hear the intro of songs n think its not going to get louder.. n then boom. Bailout! Haha
  5. Pretty sure they ship right away. The "group buy" is a 15% off code to audio savings and they should have everything in stock. At least that was my understanding.
  6. Nice vid, the CC-1 looks very simple to use just like the DD-1. Any chance you could show a vid of the gain match function?
  7. Haha I didn't mean you man I meant anyone else whos looking to buy one. A nice review like this would've sent me over the fence along time ago lol Jk..kinda
  8. Yea the whole point of strapping is it gain matches them. No need for dmm to match output.
  9. No problem man. One of the few products I've taken the time to review. That's saying something lol. Keep makin good stuff!
  10. Forsure. A couple buddies have been hitting me up to tune their amps too so I'll show some pics of that when I do it. They may not like it tho as I'm sure they crank their gains lol
  11. Is the sealed side in your pic common chamber? Also I would use the 8" aero and not the square. Itd be so simple to shorten it to your liking. Derrick on Caco makes 8" aeros for 50 bucks. They're very nice if you haven't seen them in person. Good luck man!
  12. Nobody cares? Lol. Today I'll take some better pics and maybe a vid. I want to redo the gain setting so it's -5db @ 40hz since he plays alot of decaf music and it's recommended to not clip. Stay tuned
  13. Finally got to use my DD-1 that I bought for X-mas for myself. I had a plan that the first time I used it I would take a ton of pictures and let people know the pros and cons... I would've taken pictures had it taken longer. It took me all of like 5 minutes from start to finish! Checked my buddies Pioneer 4300 for distortion, of course it didn't at all. Changed the track to 5 I believe, turned the gain knob till it lit up which was roughly between half and 3/4 of the way on a Crescendo 3500. Done deal! I cannot believe how fast it was and how much different it sounds. We had tuned it with the DMM right before hand. 60v on a 50hz track on -10db I think it was.. roughly half on the gain. Much louder to the ear than before! After we were done I was like, shit I wanted to take some pics so hear it is. I would've taken more but we just wanted to hear it while the past gain setting were still fresh in our ears lol He has 3 15" Crossfire XS v2s and they really needed that extra power we gave it. We are going to throw in another 3500 to hear the difference on double the power. All in all, the directions were very simple and straight forward. I cannot believe I used to tune with a DMM, never again. Great product! On a side note, good idea on the unit shutting off when not in use haha I straight left it in the garage as soon as we were done to go driving!
  14. What're the dimensions on those beasts again? Very nice!
  15. Yea and your using ofc wire. If you are set on it then do it, otherwise I dont think it'll gain you one bit. Unless you plan on nearly doubling your power it probably won't be necessary.
  16. Correct^ 2 pos + 2 neg runs is more than enough for 6k man. Save yourself some money on that
  17. $271.99 + whatever shipping is to you for the XP3000. The D Series is $370 + shipping to you. You should be good to go after that!
  18. Yea man, just pick up the XP3000 and whatever D series battery you can afford after that for under the hood. See how your voltage does and then add to the back if you need to. I'll bet you'll be alright if you at least add a 3400 or bigger up front.
