  1. special tools, not so much. at most a speed wrench or air ratchet comes in handy. when you pull it all apart, lay it out in order, or it will be fun putting it back together again, especialy if this is the first tranny you have rebuilt. im almost positive you dont need special tools tho. i cant remember tho, it has been a while since i have done any real tranny work. if you just take your time and carefuly observe everything as you take it apart you should be ok, hell i remember when i pulled my first transmission apart i had a camera and was taking pictures as i pulled each piece off. when i got it all apart i ran down to the local wal mart and had the roll of film developed and i was good to go. yea taking pictures is a good idea, it helps A LOT. im sure JAM customs will pop in here at some time and correct me if i am wrong, he is always browsing this part of the forum. i do wish you the best of luck with the rebuild tho. like i said, just take your time, it realy isnt hard work.

  6. thats how i was with my jeep. i did the big 3 which was a PITA, i had started to get the car build ready, and i even had some of the mdf cut and ready to go in the car when the timing chain snapped. i was pissed, but one thing i am proud to say is that i had done everything correctly. electrical, and interior modifications. i was able to undo everything i did, and put the car back to normal and sell it. i guess what i am trying to get across is whatever you decide to do, do it right, or it will come back to bite you in the ass. in your case with the Crescendo BC2000D i would cough up the extra cash and use 1/0 it will make your life easier down the road.
  7. you can get away with 4 guage to a certain point. most of the people on here will tell you that you are wrong and it needs to be redone with 1/0. you should be ok until you start trying to pull more than the wire can handle. i have personaly done the big 3 with 4 guage before, and it worked out alright.

  21. i believe strict control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide" is necessary And for plenty of good reasons, since: 1. it can cause excessive sweating and vomiting 2. it is a major component in acid rain 3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state 4. accidental inhalation can kill you 5. it contributes to erosion 6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes 7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients
