  1. Thanks for the link! I, too, was wondering about the price of the whole thing to upgrade the Big Three as well.
  2. @Hugh G. Rection, I didn't know that marine speakers can work on cars, lol. I always thought they're for boat only? I'll look into that. Thanks. @General Neo, thanks for the comments. It gives me an idea what to look for when it comes to box design for Solo X and component altogether.
  3. Subwoofer: One Solo X 12" 40hm amplifier: ZX2500.1 Truck: Nissan Frontier 1999 (with ex cab) Enclosure: VentedSUV (TheOneToDo) (6 cu.ft) Tuned ~33 to 35hz Watts: ~2,000wrms budget for Components: No limit! Okay, now you have all information about my setup. Keep in mind that the Components must be made by Kicker and Kicker ONLY. Well, currently, my speakers (6" to 6.5") on two doors are factory and aren't loud enough to meet my needs. I'm looking at QS, RS and KS lines of components Kicker. The thing is I never heard of them in person and need your help deciding which one will be a perfect match with my single Solo X12". By 'matching', I mean that while blasting the X12 real loud, the Component is able to keep up with it by providing nice and clean sound. QS is very tempting but the price is one thing that holds me back. While, yes, my budget is unlimited, I have to know the difference between QS and RS lines. With the price for QS, I'd expect something like "OMG! The cleanest sound ever!" kinda thing. If there is not a huge difference between QS and RS, then I'd go for RS since it saves money. What do you have suggestion in mind? Thanks. Can't wait to install Solo X12 in my truck soon! -Smurfboy
  4. Doesn't look like it. Batteries are extremely heavy! Can't imagine to see a small car carry over nearly a ton of stereo stuffs!
  5. Small update: If you guys think the price is bit too much and or have trade in mind, then feel free to PM me. The only thing I'd trade is a pair of Sa 8" V.2 (want them so bad!) Thanks for looking. -Smurfboy
  6. 7 Cubic feet each? isnt that a little to much? im not an expert on boxes but kicker says 12 cubic feet total for 2? just confused. but thanxs and what do you mean by full tilt? i got 2 t1500's one for each. wired to 2ohms so like 1600 to each sub. The biggest box a single 15"L7 can reach is 6.0 cu.ft. So for two 15"L7, at least 12 cu.ft is about right. And as for "full tilt," it means that you turn the volume all the way up and thus pushing those subwoofers to the limit. And lastly, I highly doubt that sub can "see" a truly 1,600wrms from the amp that you have. But again, I've seen some people throw much higher than what RMS may suggested on the paper with the right & clean power, box, etc. However if you don't know what you're doing, then I suggest to feed subs at least 1,000wrms or just watch the gain. -Smurfboy
  7. Asking about $500 shipped for both. I have tons of reference about myself and can provide once we work something out. Thanks for looking. -Smurfboy
  8. Let us know how it goes, Bigmescan. Althrough I'm a huge Kicker fan, I have to admit that the little beefy Sa 8"v2 got me really curious and how it sounds in my truck. Very tempting, lol.
  9. Drink plenty of water. It helps to cool your body tempature. And then, maybe add more fans? Open window? I work at Amazon.com and there was no AC at that time, (hot as hell at the warehouse!!) we would have a wet cool bandage-like thing and keep it around our head or neck. It does help a lot. Maybe try that.
  10. Like what most guys said, I'd do sub up, port back. But at the same time, it's entire up to you since it's your money, your sub, your way. Lol.
  11. Wow, that's an interesting subs! This is the first time I see something like that. I am curious what model is that and how many watts.
  12. Congrat on car! Hope you enjoy it. Looks like you have plenty of space to play with!
  13. Very nice. Reaching 150+dB with a pair of 12s is very impressive. How much watts are you actually feeding to per sub? Just wondering. It looks like you could put up 4 12s in a wall in that car! Imagine more power!
  14. You got it for free? Free is good, my friend.
  15. For some reasons, I don't like "odd" numbers (other than one) when it comes to subs. Who wants 7 subs? 9? Or 23? Doesn't seem right to me, lol. Maybe it's just me, though.
  16. It's nice to have someone who works for Company to keep fans informed about what they're currently working on the next project. I like that.
  17. Yeah, crutchfield is a great place to look at for beginners who like to know about stereo system. Check it out.
  18. With the biggest vented box, 15"L7 can only be able to take at least 750rms (based on the manual from Kicker.com). I'm sure it can be able to take bit more than that with the right box and power.
  19. Wall 'em! I've always wanted to build a wall for 15s sometime in the future. *Daydreaming* And as for the box designs, there are many different factors and hard to tell which one is the best suit for you. You probably have to "play around" until you are happy with the setup. That's all I know.
  20. Nice setup. Some subwoofers got some nice-looking motor and nice way to show off by inverting it. I also have seen one sub inverted while the 2nd sub non-inverted in one box.
  21. Oh, it is possible with the right size of box and power. This guy in video got two solo X12" and can do the hairtrick pretty well.
