You know what would be cool? Fuel cells and super caps instead of batteries. But FUUUU fuel cells are some EXPENSIVE sucekrs
-
what would be the cost to benefits?

Cost far outweighs the benefits. But one of these fuel cells will produce power so long as they have a supply of hydrogen. And, with some creative engineering will not incur the voltage say experiences with batteries. You could theoretically hold 14v for hours on end. And with your alternator making DC power, you could even rig an electrolysis system to recharge your hydrogen reserves. Essentially acting as a gargantuan battery, but without the limited lifetime

I'm sure it would love the shock of a 150+ system shaking the hell out of it.
