    Oil change today. Going to try the thickest oil I can for the temp -- 10w-40 vs. the 5w-30 I've been using. Hopefully it will quiet down the subaru piston slap a bit

      you do an oil change every 6k? good way to kill and engine quickly, the absolute most I go before an oil change is 4k

      Piston slap? Just knowing that it was my pistons would scare me hahah.. EJ25 swap? :P

      All I hear is lifter tick fortunately (about every 3500 miles after an oil change.)

      Alot of synthetics can go way over 6k and still stay within safe boundaries. I do a change every 3k full synthetic but I overkill it. I do my MX bike every ride lol and sportbike 2k miles
