it really depends on ur budget...i would suggest sundown cause i know there subs are damn near indestructible....there are lots out there...remember YouTube is you biggest friend when doin research I don't want to pay much more than $800 for both.

they have splitters at walmart for like 5 bucks thats where i got min, and i am looking at an mb quart amp on audio savings that has a 2 channel mod if you dont have an amp yet.

aq has mids and tweeters but you would have to use some sort of crossover.

I was lookin for some comps on audio savins and i saw this right after i read your post you should check them out here is the link goo luck with you install.

Today I made the worlds smallest full range sound system. It has a 8ohm 2watt 2 inch speaker that is in a 6inch long by 3 3/4 inch wide by 2 3/4 inch tall box, that houses the amp and power source. check this little guy out. this is the speaker itself. this is the amp. this is the board that converts the 6 AA cuurent into whatever is used by the amp. this is me cutting the hole in the box. this is the speaker in the box. video of the sub outside of the enclosure I will have more pics and vids but photbucket is taking forever to upload them so i don't when i'll be able to upload more.
