Are you talking about a "high Voltage" class A/B amp ?? I know mine will work great at 14.4 volts, but not 16.8 ...

This may be a long shot ... But I thought Kenwood subs are more musical subs ... Might try a get sone screen for the ports and install a bag of polyfill into each chamber and see what happens ... just a suggestion ...

I have musical built subs ... not SPL monsters ... BIG weight difference ... Mine are not that heavy per sub ...

I'm running 4 10s isoberic ported and tuned to 22 htz ... on about 800 watts of class A/B power ... In your case, I'd suggest 4 8s isoberic ported and tuned to 22 htz with external port tuning on about 800 watts of class A/B power (total sub bass power ... not 800 each sub) ...

need more info on the car ... and I think he would need more than one driver too ... Like 2 10s or 2 12s ... I have no problems with them ... when built correctly

I would use neither of those subs for this task ...

Why is this ??? I'm tuned at 22 htz and can hit a 140 db at 28 htz every time I roll next to a termlab ...

Cleaner sound, more dynamic music, notes more pronounced, harder hitting while enjoying the music and NOT be obnoxious ... easier to tune lower and play the higher notes with less effort ... man, this list goes on ...

With that much power, why are you running at such a low frequiency ?? Shouldn't you be tuned closer to 65 htz ??

if there is a difference (when tuning ... not massive jamming) with the voltage when the engine is on or off ... you have a problem ...

You will burn up everything in the dash ... If you must run 16v on your amps, run a separate alternator for your 16v setup and only run your amps with them ... Leave everything else stock charging please ...
