  1. Its mainly a security measure to prevent fraud I believe. So incase someone where to jack your account you wouldnt get screwed out of lots of money. This is only a monthly spending limit. Mine is the same way. Once you exceed those monthly limits you will need to verify that you are who you say you are just as a added step of protection. It goes into it a bit deaper if you look at your spending limit tab I believe.
  2. yea, well the dd Z sub has a "various" impedance, along with a "emo" sensitivity, and for the power handling it says "if you need to ask..." more funnier to me then just 4?
  3. darvex is overpriced on a lot of items imo.. You dont really need Stinger terminals, your gonna pay out the arse for them. We carry stingers at my shop, and only charge 1.50 apiece. but otherwise look into cheaper brands like knukonceptz, or db link maybe. A ring terminal is a ring terminal for the most part
  4. sounds like the exact same thing I have in above video.. but you can also turn them for more accurate change in rpm.
  5. you could try that may work. The other cable you showed is like a brake cable on a bike. It may work, but most likely not. Main reason behind that is because you will need to find something to keep tension on the cable to hold the rpm steady. Another thing is that that cable is very flimsy and flexible where as what I got is rigid, I have mine bent in a L shape to hook behind my intake, so its not bolted or screwed to anything. but when I turn it, it pulls my throttle open by hooking on the intake. If you attach a cable perminatly to your intake, one thing your going to have to take into consideration is the cable will have to move freely with little to no pressure, or you will get a very stiff gas pedal. which is why I went and did some custom bends in the wire itself to have it always come back to a rest position that will easily slide in and hook up every time
  6. honestly, its power acoustik, I wouldnt trust it even at 1 ohm
  7. Good buyer, well taker I guess. Gave him a Free Rockford Fosgate Power t10001bd that was laying around (blown) for parts for his current broken amp. He paid via paypal promptly, Id sell to him again. Hoping for the same return feedback once you get the amp Will, I have an official thread here someplace (started by chode69 I think)
  8. I run around 4krms to each sub when both amps are running. mainly for a daily drive i wire to 1 amp and its plenty loud at a 147+db burp. Just as long as you keep your power clean and unclipped you shouldnt have a problem. DDs subs are severly underated.
  9. just a cable that connects to my throttle. when i turn it, it unscrews the handle out, pulling the cable tight in my engine bay increasing the idle. Pretty simple, but they cost around $75 for the cable. You could get the same effect with a piece of string im sure

  11. waiting for more pix! get some work done meow! :girl_devil:
  12. Its bad for the woofer to use only 1 coil. Unless 1 coil is already gone making the speaker pratically junk. as for the driver reaching its proper xmax, that relies mostly on power, and box. A bigger box with 500wrms will reach full xmax before the same sub in a smaller box with the same power.
  13. for their lifetime warranty, matched memory pairs, and testing, Id reather pay the extra few bucks for it, and have a solid system, and not worry about having unstable ram. but thats just me. Kinda like going to walmart and buying a vr3 flip out screen because its hundreds less then a lowend pioneer flipout.
  14. Ive installed many of them, and all other amps in vehicle and marine applications.. You must be doing something wrong. They are a pretty decent, sturdy, reliable amp, but they are priced a tad high.
  15. Main reason why Im a Corsair fan. Even their value select memory is better then most imo (tho I never ran VS in any of my rigs) just xms and xms xpert.
  16. as long as your coils arent stinking you shouldnt have much problem.. Maybe look into your port sizing. Your woofers may not be loading enough, and box or port could be too big.
  17. This is just 1 layer of damplifier pro from my B-pillers back. Every piece is overlapped by a few inches of coarse
  18. 4 pieces of stock shinny cardboard deadener that also got yanked out. Black is hushmat, silverfoil is Damlifier pro. Second skin damplifier pro put up Before Second Skin Damplifier Pro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHV_Qr65Cxo After Second Skin Damplifier Pro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItOm1oJnzY0
  19. did a little work today! My winnings from Second Skin arrived from the promotion on smd, So I dropped the headliner and got to work. Also got a before and after video of the difference without and with damplifier pro. that shall be up later. The said deadener from the prototion and a couple bonus goodies Having the right tools for the right job Broken Craptastic 4x10s, these will be replaced by 1 of my type r component sets for the time being, till more dd comps come my way Headliner almost ready to be pulled out! Some crap that needed to be removed for the headliner and its out, now for the secondskin!
  20. kinda got to agree. Which ever sub that box was built for, that said sub should perform better in that box. You cant really say this sub is better then that sub when you dont do a proper box for each, but only a direct swap. But I guess in some cases that wouldnt matter too much, but thats only if you got some big bitching 20 cubed wall. kinda like testing a dc level 4xl vs a dd 9500, and the dc lvl4xl only being .1 quiter then the dd with 3800 watts, but yet thats the most the xl motor would take for power when the dd 9500 could take way more power and still get way louder.
  21. Its true! read my sig.
  22. DD's are very strict on their square inches of port. Try to be as close to spec as posiblly or you will get so to say poor output volume.
  23. At least you didnt spend over $500 for a stock largecase gm alternator with only a upgraded stator... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=47674 x2
  24. ahh well then vids aint worth it!! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif linky where to vote pls?
