1 ohm load but not limited to other ohm loads. It being a power acoustik amp, it may not be stable at 1 ohm. you can also run all 4 subs at 4 ohm, or 16 ohm lol

it still depends on the subs( what ohm the voice coils are, and if they are single or dual voice coils) and what ohm the amp can be safely played at. but yes, you can run 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,...... subs off a mono amp.

As stated by any alternator company.. Isolaters provide a false sense of safty. People then think that they can safely play their radio all day long and drain the battery while knowing they still have a fully charged starting battery. Then when the alternator goes to charge your drained battery you risk frying your alt. Alternators are not battery chargers and are not meant to charge up dead batteries or even half dead batteries. Alternators are to keep your batteries maintained with a charge. This is why you see so many batteries in bigger systems, the stereo is running off your battery banks, and your alts are just keeping your batteries charged for the most part.

I swear some places do this to you to make a buck. Last time I was in FL I was at some lil shack sipping crown on the rocks, and I could totally tell it was jack. I was not the happy customer when you pay $6.00 for your drinks and getting low grade alcohol. :mad:

imo id rather spend the extra bucks on the alpine. Even tho alpines only flaw is that its not 1ohm stable, but they are extremely efficent and put out 1000rms at either 2 or 4 ohm. Plus they are so compact and dont put off heat. Great power plants if space is limited, but a bit harder on the budget.

bestbuy has the alpine pdx1000 amps, those are the biggest amps they have, and they are 1000watts rms, not PEAK. I know you cant get them from the store you have to order through corperate.

X4 Its your friend, I wouldnt feel like a friend if I charged him. Plus most my friends are skilled in other departments that I am not, like auto mechanics, so helping out your bro for free, may pay off sometime in the future. esp if he had a stereo in it before and its all pre wired, then its a breeze to install amp(s) and tune it. Most shops by me charge 50-60 a hour, ill do things for 20-30 depending on what it is and who its for.

I would assume so when i first seen the trunk and those sexy old rf amps I thought it was a walled audi when it said 5 15s Im still susprised by the setup, it looks so cool. the alpine car was ok, but nothing to the spinning amps!

It kinda seemed like it was wanting to work for me. Only reason I say that is because it was trying to boot xp, and not xp pro altho I need to mess with the jumpers and then try it as a slave.

very good question! I would think as long as you have matching brand/size drives it would work. I got a 250gig seagate sitting here with 1 broken pin, got so much music on that drive its not even funny I was curious about buying a matching junk drive and just swap the boards with the ribbon clip thingy.

From what I always heard is the kicker can always hang well at 1 ohm as long as you have the electrical to back it. If you are buying the amp first b4 the subs, Id go with kicker then get the coil config to match up to your needed ohm load. and even if your subs are wired to be ran at 1 ohm, with any rise it would prob bring the ohm load up. but by compairing guts alone. 2500.1>t20001bd.
