  2. If the price is right I will sell my VM-1, I even have the wooden bezel to go around it for molding it in to a dash or something else.
  3. Most likely they put 2 subs in the original packaging inside 1 larger box that they back filled with packing peanuts in an attempt to keep shipping costs lower compared to shipping out 2 separate boxes. The people in the shipping departments package things so half assed now days from almost every company it seems. So what ultimately happened is the shipping box with 2 large heavy packages inside of it got damaged in shipping due to the box being able to flex around because the packing peanuts do not keep the larger shipping box rigid and the box usually tears in half or ends up with a giant gaping hole. When you are shipping heavy or bulky objects packing peanuts and bubble wrap is not the answer, period! I ship 40lb-150+lb speaker boxes all over the USA, I never use packing peanuts or bubble wrap and never had a box damaged in shipping (even when shipping boxes to California which is typically 5 days in transit with multiple hubs). Companies need to train their employees on how to package items, and adjust their shipping methods accordingly. If your going to offer free shipping on orders over $XX.XX and everything is being crammed into that one box to save them money instead of shipping out 2 packages than something needs to be adjusted. Its no different with online retailers putting 80lb batteries into a larger box filled with packing peanuts to ship them out all the while the OEM packaging the battery is already is in meets and exceeds the shipping requirements. However it still gets done to be shipped cheaper because it is a battery and then they can illegally sneak it on without paying additional shipping charges... Its not always the retailers fault because even when packaged right things end up missing. I had paid Meade for Four 24inch tires and he shipped them as 2 sets of 2 tires banded and stretched wrapped together. When they arrived I only got 2 tires with 2 different tracking numbers and each banded stretched wrap shipment was missing 1 tire each. After Steve called fedex countless times the other 2 missing tires were found and arrived a couple days later. You need to call UPS constantly and bug them, and have the retailer bug them. Chances are your speaker is sitting in one of the hubs either in the lost and found, or under a convener belt like my tires.
  4. The vu-dins are never made in huge quanities, and only get made every so often. everyone wants one, but when they are made they sit and takes forever for them to sell. Its been a while since their last run, but no idea when they may get ran again. I just picked a "used" (but never used one up not too long ago). Still got it sitting in the box. lol
  5. They are trying to locate their tooling that they paid for and own before having it retooled which is several thousands of dollars, but with a company that filed bankruptcy and no one to contact is a needle in a haystack situation.
  6. Looks pleasing, Ive been wanting a dashcam for the longest time as well. There are just so many on the market, some will even show your location on the screen, some have additional cameras that you can wire up for the rear. No idea where to start when looking to buy.
  7. Typically rubber grommets will not stop anything from happening, unless your using an isolate type mount (meaning the bolt that connects to the wood amp rack is not the same bolt being connected to the amp). Otherwise the vibrations will travel through the fastener itself. The rubber needs to be very very very soft as well or else it wont absorb any vibration, and even then if its a violent system it still may not do anything.
  8. All these hoes laughing like something funny

  9. Hmm, thought he said that he was just disabling it and just wanted to see if it worked.. I dont agree with intrusive ads, let alone multiple video ads all playing at once The no adblock thing or no viewing the site method doesnt work and I am against it 100%, but its not my decision to make. Forbes and some other sites did similar things before dropping Alexia ratings big time for views and disabled them. So I guess until the site takes a larger hit than its 2,655 points down that it is here to stay. https://thestack.com/world/2016/04/21/sites-that-block-adblockers-seem-to-be-suffering/

  11. I edited the groups. Regular members have 30 minutes now instead of 5 minutes to edit their posts. Supporting members (Bronze, Silver, and Gold members) along with 18+ members have unlimited editing of their posts. PS: Dont PM me asking to become a 18+ member because that has been reserved to supporting members for a while now (of coarse it is at admins discretion, so becoming a supporting member does not automatically mean you are granted access to 18+).
  12. No, his site is up to date. Inventory is on lock down. People dont understand how fast things can sell out, and since the majority of his products are all hand made by his employees, son, and his other business associates along with himself it is hard to keep up on demand. These are not mass produced products made by an employee getting paid pennies on the dollar and being shipped overseas by boat. To put it simple all of the speaker terminals, fuse holders, RCA's, speaker and other various adapters are made in Cali by 3 people. Steve keeps the machine running and does some other final touches after being machined, branding does a lot of the sanding and assembling, Antheny deals with all things shipping, emails, site stock, soldering of RCA's. That is a lot of various products in various sizes and options for 3 people to keep up on! Not to mention he has various other local shops selling his products and various online retailers such as Sonic Electronix, Jet, Wooferwarehouse, and his Amazon and Ebay pages. Tony and Juan at D'amore Engineering solders all the surface mount components on all the meters and testing tools (such as the vu-din, vm-1, vm-1HV, tm-1 F, tm-1 C, om-1, dd-1, dd-1+, cc-1, im-sg, amm-1, ampdyno-1). These components are all hand soldered and assembled in AZ, not to mention they also have their own business such as DiamondBoxx to tend to as well which again is all hand made by them. The only thing that is not done in house by this dream team crew are the multiple layer PC-B boards and plastic housings for the tools and meters because obviously they dont have a giant injection molding machines that cost several hundreds of thousands of dollars. Just having the molds made for these products to tooled is 20-60 grand. Of coarse you could 3D print said housings like other wannabe companies, but lets be real here that takes so much longer (your talking 4+ hours for 1 case to be 3d printed when a injection molding machine can pop the same piece out in 15 seconds), and it looks cheap. The low resolution quality of a 3d printed product is poor, nor does it look professional. These are the old style cables, they are discontinued so you might want to email and ask them if they are in stock, or if they are replaced by the twisted style cables. I was just barely lucky enough to get all 12 or so cables I needed for my truck to have all matching ones. lol
  13. I will look in to this right now. Because it is obviously not disabled or your running a 2nd adblocker such as Ublock Origin Even though you are a paid member the site does not detect that and disabling the adblock script. Just right click on your adblock or go in to the settings and click disable on stevemeadedesigns.com, or whitelist it. Either way it will automatically disable adblock when you are here, but have it enabled on other sites still. No point in having it enabled if your a paid member. Most likely the icons are not added to the theme, maybe Antheny can sort that one out.
  14. Just allowed an option to let users add a cover photo to their profiles (allowed size is 1mb for now).

  15. Just spend a hour and 15 minutes at a friends gym. WOW....

  16. Its literately almost the same. The rebuilding messages is done, but the 2 rebuilding posts is at 47% which was at 14% and the other is at 83% which was at 25%.
  17. @bcpballer64 the site is still updating and migrating everything over to the new version of IPS. There are over 40 tasks of things needed to be updated, and with over 10 years of content its going to take some time. You can only dedicate so much processing power to these tasks with out making the forum noticeably slow with too many background processes being done at once. New themes are coming, it just takes time. You can see what is being updated, and what hasn't even started to be update yet here. PS: Did you notice the new tagging feature where you just @"persons name here" ;p
  18. Stop, drop, shut 'em down, open up shop

  19. I dont know if this is even still going on, just seen it now. I put in for a deal of a life time, most likely they will laugh when they see it and Im 100% sure it wont go through. Been trying to order some ring terminals a few times because I really like the Tspec 8awg ones they sell but they are always out. Must be popular. LOL
  20. SMH If you read the paper that comes with all XS Power the first thing it tells you in bold italic letters is Proper Charging is Crucial! Charge before initial use! It also even states this in the instruction manuals on the site. http://www.4xspower.com/Dseries-Instructions.pdf As for any new battery no matter what manufacture, or what type it is, or where you bought it you should give it a full charge before use. You have no idea how long that new battery has sat on a shelf at said store or warehouse and this is why you should always give it a full charge.
