  1. AHHH SHIT Cody . Well hmmm... IIRC I the 10" ordered was a D2 coil that means. If I where to order the same exact sub again I could only 1 of 3 configurations. Do 1 ohm to each sub / amp (wired seprately), wired @ 2ohms and or wired down to .5 ohm. Because IIRC two D2's only offer .5 ohm, 2 ohm or 8 ohm. Correct? Also Do you happen to know the specs on the power strapped? Ball park it idgaf.
  2. I know I've seen the info some where.. but I don't remember. I want to say I remember it was somewhere around 5k @ 2ohms. Can Any one confirm the strappable specs for the DC 2.0k? Trying to decicde if I want to buy another 10" XL and run two 2.0k's strapped @ 2ohm or on a 3.5k @ .5 ohm.
  3. EPIC DEALS HERE GUYS!! My bubby placed an order.... can't wait to do his build. Its gunna be 2 DC XL 18's (fully loaded) CF cones and all........... Powered by an old school RF T4000.1bd In a blow through, can't wait to get started muahahahahahahahaha
  4. It depends. Most door speakers are usually crossosed over at the amp to only receive the lower frequencies. BUT Some factory systems like bose have certian frequency cut offs on the door speakers. Meaning that if you tap into the door speakers after the bose amp your LOC won't see the "full" range of lower frequencies you need for your amp. What you need to do is bypass the factory amp and tap the LOC "BEFORE" the amp. Or it won't work, Thats what I had to do with my bose system in my Chrysler any way. Just something you might check into.
  5. I noticed this personaly on my own ride. I have Chrysler 300 with the stock HU that has a Rockford BLD (3Sixty Line Driver) for the added sub stage . My sub stage is a fully upgraded single 10" DC XL m2 running off a DC 2.0k. The line driver has 2 modes Balanced and Unbalanaced. In Balanced mode it produces 22 Vrms and 11 Vrms in Unbalanced mode. When setting my gains (line driver hace a gain as well) with the DD-1 , I noticed that in balanced mode I get full time distortion on 0db 40hz track. But in balanced mode I can addjust the gains slightly (if at all). Also when I set the amp if I use the -5bdb track on Unbalanced mode I'll get full time distortion decteted on my DD-1.
  6. Fs = 23hz WTFFFFFFFFFF. Can you say low as fuck t-line????????
  7. Great guy. I sold him some Mustang parts that I get for pretty cheap vs retail prices. Sent super fast payment. Would do business again no problem.
  8. Look into some of these PAC devices. They may help. http://www.pac-audio.com/productSearch.aspx?Make=Cadillac&MakeId=37&Model=CTS&ModelId=1511&Year=2006&YearId=17
  9. LC-1 is pretty decent but what I prefer is the Audio Control LC2i (9.5 volt pre outputs) you can add a knob to this unit as well. Its mostly for factory setups. http://www.sonicelec...ntrol-LC2i.html this one is Great too but no knob.. But you can use it with after market HU's RF BLD (line driver 11 vrms or 22 vrms mode) Works off high level inputs and low level inputs and gives you low level outputs. http://www.sonicelec...ate-RF-BLD.html
  10. Ok so Im still waiting for my car to get back from the dealership (having some warranty work done) But in the mean while Im getting my build kicked up again. The set-up will be 1 DC XL m2 10" on a DC 2.0k (1 ohm final load) This is what I've come up with, let me know your thoughts on it. The reason for the baffle being that way is so that it can be flush mounted to the mini-wall. Which will seal it all off from the trunk area. Here are the specs: (inches) Volume 12" H * 10" W * 29.5" D = 1.44618³ ft Port 10.5" H * 2" W = 21in² with a port length of 33.625" (which is about 33hz) Sub will only get rated power @ 1 ohm off the DC 2.0k so with the Volume of 1.44618³ ft - .13402³ ft of 45s and port displacement - .18³ ft of sub displacement. The sub should be seeing 1.13216³ ft after displacement. Hows my math, any suggestions?
  11. Called them up, they got it changed for me. That's customer service right there.
  12. Okay thanks , Ill give em a email/call.
  13. email is? number is? I tried to use the e-mail link in his profile but I get an error. And I dont see his number listed? Or do you you guys mean the http://wccaraudio.com/ email?
  14. anyone know how to get a hold of Steve rather quickly? I just bought a DD-1 on mistake lol.. Was in a rush and clicked the wronge one.. I wanted the CC-1. (I already have the a DD-1 lol) I just paid for it 6 mins ago or so via Amazon. If someone could help me out that would be great. /noob move i know.. haha -Kurk
  15. Why not use blue / green tape and great stuff? The tape protects the fabic on the headliner and the foam seals the wall.
  16. Did you do it with the car running or on? Also Im pretty sure the manual says amp ground not battery, but as long as your vehicle is a uni body i don't think that should matter.
  17. Yo Steve, your amazon link isn't working. Here is a good one. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_electronics?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=SMD&node=172282 I plan on making a purchase on Friday for a CC-1. I have a DD-1 Already but I seem to have lost the booklet and my cd got scratched. It there anyway I can pay a little extra for some replacements? Let me know
  18. My UPS driver is kool as hell. He's been the same UPS driver for the past 8 years if not longer. He used to leave my packages hid under the car port. But now if I know I'm getting something... and sometimes when I don't he'll just bring it to my job for me. I even have his cell number in case I need to hit him up. UPS > FedEx all day. Hell I remember one day I got in a PC screen in a couple years back and I took it out the box a couple hours after receiving it. Noticed the bottom corner was cracked, so I called the UPS guy (Megal), he got it taken care of no questions asked. The friend thing just kinda happens when you see the same guy 3-7 times a week bringing you packages or taking them for you. Edit: Once I was tuning my system (the one in my sig) at the house and he came by to drop me off something. I asked him if he wanted to hear the system, he sat in the passenger seat and I cranked it up to 3/4 tilt. He told me he felt violated LOL.
  19. At a quick glance, it looks like maybe the cone slapped on the leads?
  20. Well I had the system thats in my sig in a 05 Taurus.. and my MPG went from 14mpg to 8mpg (in town) lol... Trying to stay small but loud with the new car. Figured might as well go with one of the smallest / badest 10s around Sarcasm? Glad you like the sub! I have a major softspot for monster 10's lol Yeah this thing looks massive. I got the AR cone and wide roll surrounds so this thing should get down haha. What I love the most about the sub is how seemless it looks with the carbon fiber caps. It fit perfectly on the 10. I just noticed your from NY .. I used to live in Elmira
  21. Haha finally got my DC XL m2 10" with all the fixin's in. Rusty even signed it for me. I can't wait to slap it in!!. Took these pics whith my cell phone while at work. I'll take better ones when I post my build log
  22. Steve meade a vid reguarding this awhile back
  23. Gratz bro. I wish I finished mine up.. I got to Life and was in the process of earning Eagle (was 2 - 3 merit badges away). Our loacal chirch was vandalised and so we raised money to fix the damage. Turned out pretty good. I ended up moving from New York to Texas back in 2003 and just never rejoined. Kinda wish I would of tho... looks good on apps. Also I've read that if you plan on joining the military, you can recivie an E2 rank for it if your instructors feel you deserve it.
  24. Zoom in so can see a smooth waveform and then select the entire first wave... go to Effects... select Fade In for the beginning of the wave and Fade Out on the end. That or if you use them frequancy alot... just save it as a project and load it.. then copy and paste it in.
  25. Fade in and out its about all you can do from what I know. could be other methods tho.
