  1. Finally getting around to putting my pair of m3 lvl 6 18s in my explorer. Was hoping someone would be able to take my measurements and design a daily ground pounder from them? Running a pair of 5ks on them with plenty of battery to back them. Here's my details thus far: 3/4" 11 ply birch triple thick baffle 4th Recessed top baffle Internal 45s Subs up Port back 3/4" or 1" all thread for bracing Anyone want to take a crack at it? Preferably someone who has tried and true methods that will give me the best outcome. I could always muddle together a box but funds are tighter then a virgin vag so i'm not trying to waste too much money lol
  2. welp if you plan on feeding an xl the full 5k, i hope you figured out a cheap way to recone it lol.
  3. We do that intentionally at work all the time lol. We have a decent size lot and we only do it to fellow employees, mainly my manager. It lightens the mood during the day to watch him have to crawl over his center console and fit under the steering wheel haha.
  4. I shoulda ordered those baskets with mine, looking forward to the build jeff!
  5. gorgeous truck, if i were to do another cut through it'd be with this body style. For whatever reason i feel as though they would go hand in hand nicely. Looking forward to your build!
  6. your box does seem a tad big if that's your net after displacement in your sig. If that is truely net after displacement, try to add some bracing to take up space and see what she does.
  7. My brother has a d3400 under the hood, a d3100 in the trunk at his Soundqubed 3500.1 with a 300a alternator. Voltage gauges at the alternator and each battery, the d3100 at the amp will drop anywheres from .5 to a full volt with the alternator spinning full speed. If you only do the batteries, get as big as you can. Def get a bigger alternator and invest in a nice charger.
  8. i have a lvl 4 12 on a 1.2k at 34 hz and she covers a decent range, not a basement dweller but she'll get low for some songs. I'd stick with 34 hz, just make sure you have a sufficient bracing in place and maybe a couple 45s in the corners to aid in air flow.
  9. Bought a 175.4 and the end caps are a bit FUBAR, one is cracked across the bend, the other has some messed up mounting holes. Any way to get just the end caps to replace the ones that are spent?
  10. welcome to the nut hugging club haha. my 5ks came in today too, it's a good day for some people haha
  11. I believe my second time (atleast) buying from, this time was my Pioneer 80prs. Shipped out in the original packaging, than repackaged in another box with packing material for support. Pleasure to deal with, even called me to make sure i got the tracking number for it. Look forward to dealing with again!
  12. so for instance if i'm going to be running 4 d7500s, i'd need combined 60 amps supply?
  13. Looks like i'll be spending money soon lol. Question remains, is there a trade in program of sorts?
  14. Intriguing, yes. Informative on the website, not so much lol. I understand that it operates as a power supply when the vehicle is off, like indoors and lets you run the system for an amount of time based on battery reserve. But does this also charge the batteries? Why couldn't you use the intellicharger in the same fashion?
  15. whoa whoa whoa, we can trade in our basic xs charger and pay the difference on the new intellicharger??????????????
  16. leave him the key and alarm code to the warehouse one night and let him go nuts for the van lol
