  1. Try 18khz. That'll hurt! My car hurts 35 to 40, but it's tiny.
  2. If you don't know how to wire to .5 ohm, then trust me, you don't know enough to run it safely, no offense. Looks up Ohms law.
  3. YES! THat's the very first amp i ever owned haha! Anyhow, You could certainly sell all that stuff for way more than the cost of black ops. I might even buy the amp from you.
  4. Bulletproof? I betcha money my incompetant self with a drill bit could ruin one haha. They do look cool. Ive seen em with the carbon fiber dustcap, it kinda matches and looks pretty balllin.
  5. Hmmm..... Could you just tap the bigass battery you're sitting on? Or do they run at a different voltage? This would be damn interesting.
  6. I bought a car from a guy right? He took his system out of it and didn't bother pullin the fuse. I'm working on it at home and I realized what he did... The wires were siting about 2 inches apart. All it would have taken.... Instant conflagration.
  7. Half of those cars made me want to cry. Why ricers, why?
  8. I don't know about the OEM vs Aftermarket deal but I'll tell you one thing. NOBODY spends thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to design a part that breaks. Would you buy a car that was designed to give you problems?
  9. Mosfets are very common. Otherwise I've seen power supplies roasted off the circuitboard.
  10. What this guy said. I like to use industrial degreaser, don't get any on you though haha. A dual action orbital sander helps a shit ton too.
  11. I know i've said this before, but I hate ball joints. And wheel bearings too while we're at it.

    1. ant the ninja

      ant the ninja

my rear bearings go bad about once every two years. ever since the rear end snapped in half :/

  12. Yes and no. The rotor in a disty is very prone to failure. Moving parts always are. The less moving, the better. Especially when water gets in them. Which it always seems to do. At least to my particular model haha. But yes coilpacks are much better. My dad has a Bonneville with the 3800. 200,000 miles never had to replace the coilpacks.
  13. No problem bro! Glad to hear it was an easy fix. Eh they're terribly flawed in that they are so unreliable. Zero new cars use them for good reason. Not reliable for the average Joe. Ive replaced them on every Probe Ive owned, shortly after I bought 'em. I agree, if you take them apart, scrape off corrosion, and beef up the factory seal on them they do alright. Average Joe doesn't wanna do that.
  14. IT's a cool thought. Look up the MTX RFL, or a newer MOJO. It's been done before unfortunately. Also TC Sounds does the same thing.
  15. riiiight if that were the case lemme sell my high amp alt and xs power batteries and get me one of these.. geez it can magically produce 600amps.. two of these puppies and u could run 6k plus.. yeeaaa right Please read up on what a capcell is. Note that Soundstream makes one..... And also note that batCAP makes them as as supplement (Both highly respected brands). But anyhow Redcorn you should take some more pics, borrow a better camera though please haha. Don't see much American Bass around here, but i'd like to.
  16. Those are funny looking. They aren't the FI X in the spec sheet. Are they a different model with a fi recone? Or are they just older?
  17. I'm on a TIGHT budget for my build, and I still went with 1/0 Kicker OFC. In a small car with a weak electrical system I decided it was a necessary expense. I can't afford to lose so much as a bit of conductivity. But be that as it may, I've owned KNU 4 gauge CCA and it got the job done as well. Don't expect it to be nearly as flexible though, and expect to have aluminum shavings all over the place.
  18. What kind of subs are they? The only way I can think of managing to pull a 2.2 ohm readinf is if they are about .6 ohms each. Which is very possible.
  19. You can't Im afraid. Best you can do is either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. Send them back.
  20. Nice bro! That's a crazy story. Totally need to retrace your steps and find the weapon.
