Yes and no. The rotor in a disty is very prone to failure. Moving parts always are. The less moving, the better. Especially when water gets in them. Which it always seems to do. At least to my particular model haha. But yes coilpacks are much better. My dad has a Bonneville with the 3800. 200,000 miles never had to replace the coilpacks.

I'm on a TIGHT budget for my build, and I still went with 1/0 Kicker OFC. In a small car with a weak electrical system I decided it was a necessary expense. I can't afford to lose so much as a bit of conductivity. But be that as it may, I've owned KNU 4 gauge CCA and it got the job done as well. Don't expect it to be nearly as flexible though, and expect to have aluminum shavings all over the place.

What kind of subs are they? The only way I can think of managing to pull a 2.2 ohm readinf is if they are about .6 ohms each. Which is very possible.

You can't Im afraid. Best you can do is either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. Send them back.
