  1. not sure if alternators included but if so... 270 or 300 amp alt 06037
  2. sweet good deal, if he told you otherwise, tell him you'll blow his house up with your system, He'll understand haha
  3. when you remove the carpeting from the existing bolt that it's sitting on, you will either have a rubber or plastic style bushing that is probably not making a good ground for the amp sitting around the bolt. Check grounds again, and use sand paper Edit : F.Y.I, my truck has a bushing for every bolt sticking out, so i needed to cut out a piece of the carpet, and make sure there was a clear grounding source
  4. The build will start coming alive more towards mid april, mid may finish. Tight on time at the moment but got out of work early today, so i took some pictures of how much space i'm working with, and of course needed some pictures of the car and all that good stuff CAMERA USED CANON Rebel T3i
  5. pretty sure seen Steve Meade use one of these things but the screen was on his sexy meter he had, can't find the video, very useful for voltage and frequency readings in your electrical signal i believe, correct me if i'm mistaken
  6. once you get the money from selling your amp, add about $350-400 get the AQ3500d.1 bought mines around $800, if linked can put up alot of power, but does the job with a good alternator, and the big 3, i'm in the middle of my build might be done with it around early may
  7. things are beast, although it still has that chip on the magnet should be fine, they look good, good luck who ever buys it, great woofers
  8. artist Celph Titled - So Cold i was into underground music for a long time, this song has amazing bass, great for those low lovers not sure if posted before but this is my #1

    What amp?

i'd go with the aq2200d 2 ohm linked for 4000 or maybe even more, the amp could probably put out more with good electrical and alternator http://www.audioque.com/AQ2200D-Amplifier_p_31.html
  10. pretty sure those are the older models, maybe even '10? no idea
  11. couldn't find anything useful, sorry. But if i was to build a fiberglass kick panel i would aim the mids towards the passenger, and from passenger towards driver, slightly about 35-40 degrees, so that way the bass won't bounce around, tell you the truth it is all a preference, hook them up to an amp, sit them down somewhere where you feel most comfortable with and see how it ranges inside the car, even slight movement from left to right might get you on the right track.
  12. let me see what i can dig up
  13. i'd rather keep my mids and tweets away from woofers, truck like mine front presence is good enough for a pair of each, keepis it away from all the booming in the back not like i will jump in the back seat and listen to my music.
  14. yeh almost similar idea, liking the one you made, thanks a bunch bro
  15. Box Helpers/Designers feedback appreciated, need some help on getting to set up my ports in the box calculator not sure if i'm doing it correctly, with pictures posted below please try to give me any pointers, if experienced in making boxes for DC 18"s would be even better. Type of music : will be used for daily driver, music (hip-hop, rap, dubstep, looking for some lows as well) Done a little design, first day probably 1hour in and was trying to mess around with sketchup, and came up with this design according to the way i did it, i have no idea how i could possibly mess it up, i needed to flip the screen completely upside down to make sure i had the box the right way and how you are facing it, that's the way it will go in my car. So here are my true dimensions Width - 32 Height - 22 Top/Bottom Depth - 22 Before i post the pics below, i think it has turned out pretty good, somewhere around 5.7-5.8is ft3, and tuning to about 30-32 hz Sorry for crappy lines, i didn't have the time at night to look up any tutorials because i think i would fall asleep on them working 6am-5pm mon-fri and its a late friday night. If you need all the details on the kind of wires i'll be running, amp, alternator, bat, etc. Private message me, if you can scoop something up for me probably make a nicer looking box or if there's a charge for it, please let me know. I work a lot and really busy on the weekends, so i won't have the time for a couple months to make myself a decent looking box.
  16. not a completely good ground, if you are running a system that you don't care about go for it, but a good ground would be frame of the car, drop the ground, drill a hole, or if you have enough run it to the engine block front frame of the car
  17. the sooner the better, 2 weeks of notice is what companies are looking for, they will understand what you are trying to do for yourself and by meaning a better future, better pay, etc. Tell them both in person, and don't call them its like breaking up with your girlfriend lol, be mature about it.
  18. lvl 5 all day, if a 15" can handle 5000, i'd go with the 18" and do some damage and 16v ofcourse
  19. ok yeh sounds good, just like nick from dc said he once strapped his 2 aq35's for .7 and he hooked up the subs dual 1.4 so, so ill do that for the one so it can help lower box rise which ill be working with around 5.7-6ft3
  20. big dee always room for error, i will keep that hd4 in mind, but dc lvl 5 is always good to test out see how it delivers. Thanks for the input
  21. thanks for any feedback jeffrey but i went along and got great deal for the dc lvl 5 18" so i bought that, and i think it will be a great match for my amp just need to make sure i do a good job in my electrical meaning get a good setup for the big 3, and will do that with one yellow top in the front and i'm deciding between the shuriken sk-bt 100 or the xs power d3400, and will end up getting 2 for the back. Always better more juice, and down the road if i need a couple more they are not that expensive if you're on an average budget. And my sub spendings i was looking at around 400-600 so that dc lvl 5 is perfect
