Hey I was going to use a dc 5k to power 2 m2 lvl 5's but I was wondering whats a decently solid electrical for a 7.5k? Im planning on getting a DC power 320 amp alternator and at least 3 xs d3100's. Would that be enough or should I just stay with a 5k?

heres a small demo on a shitty phone HTC sense camera... couldnt pick up any flex and a shitty song. first time playing song so i dont know where anything hits or how low it gets. but anyways heres a vid and im still trying to get used to eveything. not full tilt but maybe alittle over half on knob. -
Got a few questions in regards to DC audio equipment as i plan on getting two 15s to go in my trunk as a DAILY driver that i will compete with here or there. I plan on running a BARE MINIMUM of a 5k watt amp (Please dont suggest electrical upgrades as this isnt an electrical thread and please dont ask "whats my budget" if i was worried too much about budget i wouldnt be looking to make the jump to DC. Thank you.) 1. do they make the level 6 as a 15"? I see only one online dealer that even shows them no place else not even the dc audio website. 2. What are all the options I see spider, leads and dust cap options but whats the cooling option? all I know is ive seen some subs with a large center hole for cooling and some without. Will this reduce the overall power handling and/or extend the life of my sub? Side note my subs usually get beat on pretty hard for about 1 or more hours at a time. 3. What are the different spider options? I see theres a medium, medium/stiff, stiff, super stiff. what what and what does that mean other then a longer break in period? does that effect power handling at all and/or the duration of life of my sub? 4. Someone told me its possible to get extra spiders to help the sub stay in one piece is this true or does this just fall under 3? 5. I would like to run at least a 1 ohm setup but should i get dual 0.7 ohm just to get more out of my 5k watt amp for these beasts? (goes for lvl 5 or lvl 6 if it does come as a 15) 6. If this was YOUR build going in YOUR vehicle that you drive around for hours at a time with it basically on full tilt what ohm load would you run and how much power would you put minimum if you had the last two subs dc would ever make and if you break them your SOL? This question applies to both lvl 5 and lvl 6. 7. You think i should just call DC? -

Hey SMD! awhile back i posted a thread about coil rub on one of my level 5s. i purchased a reconethrough Cj. but never reconed the sub. i just kept playing on it with the SD8k, then on the k12. i first started noticing this "clanking" sound a couple weeks back when i was demoing a couiple people at a local shop. before i left, i played a song, My shit bang- e-40, i totally forgot that there is a very low note in the song, i broke a dustcap on one sub, and blew off the other. the note was extremely low. after the most recent show i attened, i gave a couple demos, but by the time i was to be metered, the "clanking" noise became louder and output seemed to be less. now its really bad. recone time? heres a vid to help describe the noise. and heres some pic:

Box Helpers/Designers feedback appreciated, need some help on getting to set up my ports in the box calculator not sure if i'm doing it correctly, with pictures posted below please try to give me any pointers, if experienced in making boxes for DC 18"s would be even better. Type of music : will be used for daily driver, music (hip-hop, rap, dubstep, looking for some lows as well) Done a little design, first day probably 1hour in and was trying to mess around with sketchup, and came up with this design according to the way i did it, i have no idea how i could possibly mess it up, i needed to flip the screen completely upside down to make sure i had the box the right way and how you are facing it, that's the way it will go in my car. So here are my true dimensions Width - 32 Height - 22 Top/Bottom Depth - 22 Before i post the pics below, i think it has turned out pretty good, somewhere around 5.7-5.8is ft3, and tuning to about 30-32 hz Sorry for crappy lines, i didn't have the time at night to look up any tutorials because i think i would fall asleep on them working 6am-5pm mon-fri and its a late friday night. If you need all the details on the kind of wires i'll be running, amp, alternator, bat, etc. Private message me, if you can scoop something up for me probably make a nicer looking box or if there's a charge for it, please let me know. I work a lot and really busy on the weekends, so i won't have the time for a couple months to make myself a decent looking box.
