  1. You don't need that much power for a home environment.
  2. Rather would have used super glue or epoxy, which is cheaper, than caulk, but hey, if it works, it works.
  3. Nice start there so far, but I wouldn't use the 16 gauge wire for the subwoofers, only for the components, it would be a good idea to get 10 gauge wire for the subwoofers.
  4. Well, when I mean't I seen someone do it, I mean't I saw it on video
  5. I've seen someone run an NS-1 on a pair of SA-8's, and they seem to take it fine.
  6. The MA-8 looks sturdier, and looks like it has more xmax than the VVX-8, that's the difference I see.

  8. Well, if it was me personally, if you had the room, I'd give each CVX 2.25cu ft after displacement since Kickers perform well in slightly larger boxes than your typical 12. Though, the current box you have does sound like a decent box for them, try it out, and see how you like it.
  9. Amp tune up, sounds like a cool idea, and who knows, maybe you can revive older amps that have parts wearing out as well.
  10. If someone doesn't think that show is awesome, then something is wrong with them. I love watching that show when I get the chance to.
  11. Honestly, I'd stay with the type x's, more cone area. Though in my opinion, if it's not circle shaped, I stay away.
  12. I don't dread my computer entirely, but I'm getting annoyed by my HD 4850, it runs too damn hot, the drivers never work ever, and now it's starting to crap out when I try to play Need for Speed Underground 2, it just all of a sudden stops working, and resets my computer, and that's an old game. Never buying Ati/AMD videocard products again
  13. The amp is gonna be more efficient at 2 ohms then 1 ohms, which is very normal for amps, so electrical shouldn't be too bad but Big 3 is a big definitely, and 750 watts should be fine for the SSD, you're not gonna horribly under power it. This is a very helpful tutorial on designing a ported box http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/145174-ported-box-design-a-tutorial/ And there's Torre's calculator topic as well for more details http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/38791-torres-box-tuning-calculator/
  14. You should build your own box to get the best results. Battery definitely, they help alot more than a capacitor when needing extra power, or having to deal with voltage drops. Big 3 is recommended as well if you haven't done it. You're gonna have to either wire that sub to 2 or .5 ohms, and I don't know if the MB Quart can handle .5 ohms.
