Sundown is way better than Kicker first off...they are 600w rms so a 1200w amp would be ideal, they can handle more but play it safe...dual 4ohm for both subs to run your amp at 1ohm you will want to run a ported box for them in order to get the best performance out of them...not a prefab box, build your own enclosure
-
you'll want to run 1 cube per sub with that power...

looks really good, dials down the "flash" of the solid chrome

I don't see a 150 @30hz happening with that setup...and surely not staying "musical" if you can get it to do 150
-
yes, if its running 2400w it's overpowering them...they are rated 600w rms and granted some people have run them on way more, doesn't mean everyone should... I have ran subs at 3 and 4x MAX rated power without problems, but I wouldn't go around telling everyone that those subs could take triple RMS....

Lvl 5 15s sealed specs
stroupe79 replied to Piggi3's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
from my understanding with the higher ratio you get more of a spike in SPL around your tuning...as compared to lower ratio which is more evenly spread thoughout the bandwidth, less of a drop in SPL over a wider range... -
Lvl 5 15s sealed specs

BHE does good designs, and as CJ mentioned he gave you the recommended sealed specs for the level5s.... -
the other day he mentioned in a post where somebody asked him why his post count was down 700...that he went buck wild posting in a picture post, as far as I have seen he does ask questions, compliment builds, and try to add to the discussion or ask questions about things involved in builds and so on...seems legit to me

I second the "what the hell did you illuminate that box with?!" looks like a monster in the making

first I will just go off your ideas 1. with the 2 enclosures on each side, it is just more of a pain in the ass than it's probably worth 2. most of the enclosures I see either have the port facing the rear tailgate or up toward the ceiling(sometimes they aim toward rear quarter) toward the tailgate would be ideal I would recommend you build a single enclosure with 1 port in the center of the box between the subs and have everything facing the rear, now if your planning on using the cargo area and are worried about damaging the subs (reason for downfiring enclosure) you could still do down firing subs and port to the rear.. maybe somebody else has a better idea

Sounds crazy but Anderson's General Store has a good selection of beers, at least in Columbus they do... Kroger and Giant Eagle might have Magners, Crispin, Angry Orchard, Original Sin, and Strongbow...I personally don't like Woodchuck or Hornsby's but those are more common options also... I would imagine Whole Foods has a fair amount of MicroBrews.... Chocolate Stouts or Breakfast/Oatmeal Stouts are great too...they have a chocolatey/coffee type taste to them
-
just a disclaimer about Ciders....they taste great, but if you drink a bunch you will be puking...tolerance doesn't matter anything over 5- 6 and your asking to get sick...they are easy to drink but all that sour/tartness will come back to haunt you...lol

Crispin Ciders are also very good....they only sell them in single bottles like 22oz or something....they are very smooth and offer a few versions, they are less likely to be around a bit hard to find... http://www.crispincider.com/cider/products/
