  7. the trunk lid is getting welded this weekend to fix the 3" rip at the hinge.
  8. hoping to gain some db's with a vented box . as well as take the pressure of the trunk
  9. term lab score of 145.5db @ 40Hz .headrest score. out of the sealed box.
  10. currently they are in a sealed box 2.1 per chamber..firing back.box is as far back as it can go. with just enough room for the subs to move..they are in a 2002 hyundai Xg350L (my profile pic). I am wanting to keep my back seats..seats fold down and i would like too just see the subs and a vent when i fold them down.gonna be a tight fit. gonna have to angle the subs toward each other a little to give room for the vent.
  11. hello everyone!! Looking to build a box in my trunk . walled off . I don't have the tools or a shop. So my question for everyone one out there is: Does anyone know of a GOOD shop in the Columbus ,Ohio area. perferable with experience of walling a trunk. I have to get the pressure off my trunk lid. It is ripping at the hinge mounts. my car hates me...lol
  12. and yes it is true to power rating..3,600w rms at 14.4v and 4000w rms at 16v. very strong amp ..compared to the amp You have the US Amps XT4000DEv2. which i own to,just took it out 3 months ago. the MA amp is almost 3 times the power compared to the RE amp.
  13. yes sir..amp is at 2ohm. even double checked it with my multi-meter .multi-meter reads 1.9ohm which is exactly right. subs are wired in series in the box, and parallel outside the box..duel 2ohm subs
  14. Gain on the amp is about 1\4 the way up..bass knob set about the same..when i said "open it up" i meant like turning the volume up on my head unit till the amp starts to do all it can do without clipping. playing it at 100%
  15. anybody else got an opinion on this? could my grounds be the cause of all this votage drop? or do i simply just need a high output alt..
  16. I got 2 RE Audio XXX 15"s.. These subs hit the lowes like no other..Ive owned alot of subs but none have come close to what these put out..they would be perfect for the wattage you want to run and the box you metioned is just the right volume for these subs to..
  17. ok ..currently i have the amp grounded to the frame by it self..the Battery in the trunk is grounded the frame in a different spot and there is no ground from front batteries to the rear battery. So should i change it to where the amp ground goes to the rear battery ground terminal, rear battery ground to the frame and to the batteries in the front? sounds better to me. think it will help?
  18. Would it help to ground the amp strait to the battery insteed of to the frame?
  19. they quoted me a 220 amp rebuild for $530..thinking real hard bout getting it
