  1. In my doors there is a L shaped piece that is tack welded on very poorly from gm, it is what the window switches mount too and also responsible for part of the door panel being held on. It has a large gap on the bottom since the panel has reliefs in it and the L shaped piece rattled hard even with midbass from my 6.5's. I thought the speakers were amking noise at first. I used a small amount of rope I had from doing headlights and pressed it under the L shaped piece and into the relief, I had already deadened my doors and didn't have any deadener leftover. Otherwise a small peice of deadener would have given me the same results....i in this case the goal was to keep the two pieces of metal from touching eachother...I probably could have even used a small piece of foam or anything really. IDK what other scenario butyl rope would be good for though.?
  2. Thats why when I play its Mute all except party. People are 99% annoying on their lol. Maybe I'll join in if the GF is at work. I suck but like Hardcore when people dont camp.

  11. Im going to sell my 8 and get one of these bad boys and run it ported. What specs are you recommending, box wise for optimum ported? something like .35ft maybe?
  12. Yeah man, I would try that first, if you don't like it you might be able to go ported if you can squeeze soem more space and do external port.
  13. Bought a Browning BPS last night. FIrst 12ga purchase for me. Next I want to get a small 22 for the gf to shoot and get comfortable handling a handgun.

Duck hunting is fucking fun as shit, just have to get up super early. If you got questions, just make a thread over in the firearms section people will be around to answer/make suggestions.

  21. Yes. A good glue joint will beat out a glue joint and screws..especially how alot of people do it where they glue then use the screws to hold the pieces together. I use to TA is woodshop..teacher showed his class every year how the different joints would break under stress. A proper glue joint will hold stronger then the wood itself. If you do dado, rabbit, dovetail or een dowels you will be stronger then a standard butt joint or screws could ever get you. At least if you are gluing long grain together. If you are doing endgrain you need to do a different joint then just a butt joint...even on MDF. take some scrap wood and try it for yourself..
  22. ^^^^ Finally some one said it, PROPER glue joint is better then screws or nails or mechanical fasteners.. except some of you guys that do huge steel plates...nothing bettr then that lol. Wicks I think your on the right track in your build log. Fixing shit is much harder then doing it right the first time...next time I bet you do a nice dado, or dowels or something lol.
  23. What makes this better then DD's app? They have tone generator, wire diagram, and enclosure calculator, etc....
  24. whats humidity have to do with ur system playing? mines just as loud in 110* thunderstorm as it is in 110 dry or 32* outside..i domt get it

Okay. Colder air is more dense. Therefore there could be a stronger bass wave. Also the colder it is, the less resistance in the electrical overall.

      Amart88

The cold air is more efficient at transmitting sound waves.
