The thing is man, get the money while you can because ill tell you if the wheelchair place was losing money and needed to cut someone, they wouldnt bat an eye laying you off, believe me man i know. Take care of your family and yourself first because when its all said and done they are the only ones who truly give a shit about you. -
Or make a fiberglass enclosure, that would be waterproof
-
Damn dont use mdf, if even a little moisture get on that goodbye batterys.

So now is the brother that was the manager, going to now be fixing wheelchairs? -
I dont think they would have to be waterproof though, they are batterys, they are made to withstand the engine compartment.

Yeah of course you should go back, f starting all over again at the bottom. You cant even pay the bills with 14 bucks an hour. -
They have boat battery boxes.

The trunk is the closest thing you will get to cabin gain, so if you are running a regular ported box, its best to fire it towards the rear of the trunk. When the top is down, its almost like you are playing music with the trunk open, because you lose all the little remaining cabin gain you had with the top up. Can be as much as 6db. Only viable option for convertible is something like a low tuned 4th order.

Cheap is relative to whos buying it, the dc could be considered cheap to someone buying zapco.

looking for a new head unit

Nothing is better in that price range, next step up from the deh80-prs is the pioneer p99 or the clarion hx-d2 and hx-d3 but those are around 1000 bucks. The clarion cz702 doesnt have burr brown and thats a huge difference in sound quality. -

DC Audio IMPALA rebuild
bassface replied to NightmareImpala's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I noticed that piece of threaded rod bracing is right next to the battery, make sure that isnt going to be hitting the battery , or vibrating against the battery. It could make a hole in it after awhile. -
Looks like you have all the bases covered man, im curious to know if the dynaxorb will actually be of any benefit inside the sub enclosure. I was actually researching it quite abit and several people stated it has no effect because of the wavelength of low frequency. So it would be interesting to find out how your experience with dynaxorb goes.

You can always make a fiberglass enclosure to get more room.
