The VM-1 is acurate. There is actual voltage drop accross wire so the further from the source you locate any voltage meter, the more drop you will see. It's not a fault of the meter. What alot of people do to tone down the brightness is to mount them behind a piece of smoked lexan. Pretty easy to do yourself imo.

Kevin had a DC 5.0k for sale and I was pretty interested for a while. I live in another state but was going to be in his area on my way to and from somewhere and asked if I could pick the amp up if it would save me any $ and maybe he could give me and my family a demo of the van. He lowered the price by a certain amount since the price he had listed the amp for included shipping, and came through with an awesome demo. If you haven't seen that thing in person, as awesome as the videos are, they do it no justice. On top of all that, he changed his schedule around and rushed some things so the van would be "show ready" which by no means did he have to do. We got our demo on the way to our destination and I had not yet purchased the amp because I had to make sure there was room left in the budget. Before I departed CA I hit Kev's paypal with his lowered asking price for the amp and we ended up not getting together again so he tells me not to worry, that he would ship it the next business day on his dime. He shipped it as promised and the item was packaged well and marked fragile, and glass do not break. I would not hesitate to buy from him again. Customer service: 15/10 Condition of product as described in for sale add: Yes Packaging of product: 10/10 Easy to do business with: Yes Shipped when and how promised: Yes

Most of the time people get out what they put in... Someone complains about a DD-1 not working right and goes about it in a child like manner and come to find out that the product wasn't working right because it wasn't being used right. Who's fault is that? Steve's? Tony's? All they can do is put out a product, they can't control what some ignorant people are going to do. These are the people that are given a hard time from what ive witnessed.

The OP didn't get flamed. And the advice has nothing to do with it being an SMD product being questioned on the SMD sight. People were nice to him actually. Nobody said "hey dumb ass you screwed yourself by taking it apart so you are SOL" You go buy just about ANY electronic equipment that comes with a warranty and it will say right on it something to the effect of "warranty void if opened". Not being aware of that is the consumers fault, not the manufacturers. I'm not playing ignorant to the fact that some nut hugging does happen, but every brand has some loyal followers. In my experience, D'Amore is slow returning emails, actually worse than slow, he hasn't returned any of mine, but at the same time there is a number to call which I haven't done so that part is on me. wccaraudio@gmail always gets back in a timely manner. They also have a contact number
