BeAlLsTaR13 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 im most likely going to be having to attach both my amps to my box in some way or another when it comes time to do my build, however i still make a seperate amp rack with closed cell foam between the rack and box, then rubber bushings on the mounting feet in my small trunk its really my only resort Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 i think this is a 50/50 subject. this will probably end up like every other capacitor topic that has been made. people fighting.
RAM_Designs Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Just brace your box properly and you won't have any issues. Most people don't though, so I can see why they'd have vibration issues. uhoh_45 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 some it depends on the amps though guys as well as bracing i know with my powerbass xa3000ds they dont like the slightest rattling/having heavy things placed on them i had one mounted (see picture) like this but i had added 2 2x4s going from left to right and had the amp mounted to that still rattled to shit R.I.P! Amerrricuh Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 alright, if i were to mount my amp (SAZ-1500) on my box just to be on the safe side, what would i put in-between the screws and box to make less vibration on the amp? They cant hear anyone telling them otherwise. just because its bigger doesnt make it any different. they just piss people off faster and farther away.
C-Fizzy Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 The bigger the amp is, the more parts are inside, the more of a chance you have to vibrate stuff loose. But as stated above, if you have a properly braced box, you will be fine. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
skittlesRgood Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 and put the amp close to the edges of the box. not in the middle for obvious reasons.
