98crewcab Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 can you still get a dr note? my wife has bad migraine's to where she goes to the er for shots. and in the summer the brightness makes her have more. thats the only reason i really tinted the fronts. hoping to calm them down when the weather clears up. Now the law stares that you can have a shading device on the front side windows with a medical prescription. However it does also say it has to be removable and can not be used at night. My wife has a prescription for a sun shade from her dermatologist for our windows and will cover any truck that is registered in her name also. Now, all our trucks are tinted. 20% with a mylar silver reflective on my truck and a 11mil security film on her truck. Now and then we get tickets for our tint, we don't fight or even bring up the prescription. Anything we say to the officer will go in one ear and out the other. In court however, every time we have presented the judge with the DR. note our ticket has been dismissed. laws are made to be read and twisted to fit your needs Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Our trucks have been tinted for the past 10 years, and we have only been hit with a ticket but a few times. So infrequent that I don't even think about it anymore next to a cop. I have never removed tint for a fix it ticket. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. BeatBox Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 there are tint laws here in ny but I have yet to be pulled for it and I even have the windshield darkened up. it seems like some places really enforce it though, luckily, not around here same here, when i do get one ill pay up just another thing if it happens i know why
