You could get "More" for your money if you look into other brands that just arent as well known as JL. Just because these brands arent as well known, doesnt mean there not good, you know what i mean? Sundown, Fi, DC, AQ, etc... are AWESOME companies, that make SOLID products, there just not available for purchase at all the places you may have visited. I think you need to broudin your horizon some, and realize that there are tons of companies that you may need to look into. Dont get me wrong though, JL makes very nice stuff, but you pay for the name "JL" printed on it. I personally love the technology inside there highend amps, just like RF's CP amps, JL is pretty much the same. Makes pretty much the same power @ 4ohm as at 1ohm, that is just COOL!!!
