ChevyBoy95
Short: Yes 15%-20% on average, but like everything there are exceptions. Complete douche/bitch gets a couple bucks and I'm sure you can guess where the higher than 20% comes into play. In most of EU they don't tip, but the staff gets a real wage rather than $2 an hour or some bs. Some cities here are the same, Seattle for example. If you can't afford to tip you can't afford to go out to eat. i tip 15% if i get my food, 20% if they have a good attitude, sometimes more. The food being bad isnt the server/waiters fault, they dont cook it so they shouldnt get penalized for the cooks fuck up. TeamHT
Define the origination of tipping and look at how it is now expected. Should every person simply doing their job get compensated? And should the size of compensation be based on how well I did my job? I say nay. I also say to those who do this as a job and their paychecks depend on it...get a job that isn't minimum wage. I think tipping is somewhat dumb and selfish. That being said, horrible service gets a couple cents just so they know I have commented their service. Great, great, epic service will usually always get a 40%-50% Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

meade916
i tip good because i want to. If i get great service, it is my pleasure to make that server happy. on the OTHER HAND, i do see the point of "its your job, do it and like it......or find a better job". Nobody tips me here at my regular job when i do extra work or get something done quicker then normal. People that work at McDonalds make minimum wage and are barely getting by (in general), so why shouldnt we tip them? Because the price is the price. We pay, we get what we paid for, we go home. I dont like to feel obligated to tip. I do it because i want to but its really not my problem if that persons job sucks that much that they have to rely on a donation to survive. dont get me wrong, i think people that DONT TIP are some cheap ass bastards......but i get the point of some of the people that are against it too. I can tell you as a former pizza delivery boy, if you are a regular, and you want good food and service, YOU BETTER TIP! They remember the tight wads, and believe me, when you got three pizzas to take, and the two farthest ones are the "tippers", they go first. Period. The "non-tipper" will have to wait. It's just a good choice to go ahead and give them SOMETHING. finkster
yup, thats the thing. in foreign countries they are doing it right, they get paid by the hour at least minimum wage. Here, i dont know who decided to start the tipping process but i agree it is bullshit. Giving someone a tip for doing something good (no matter what the job) is cool of someone to do! But for america to make it basically necessary fucks things up. If i only made 20 dollars in tips all night and asked my boss to split the difference so i made minimum wage, he'd tell me to go shit in my hat. BUT thats just how it goes sometimes. Most of the tme i make 100+ a night so it averages out. DAT 4125------>RE XXX comps active Eclipse cd7000 I serve drunks for a living

It's just a good choice to go ahead and give them SOMETHING. That's my .02 i know this better then anyone, i used to be a paperboy back when i was 12 (last time i did a job that tips were important). I always tip the pizza guy, i tip EVERYONE. Ask anyone who has done any work for me including interior work, paint jobs, electrical....doesnt have to be food related. If they do a great job and i have the money in my budget, i always hook that person up with a few extra dollars. I am a big tipper, i just said I UNDERSTAND the arguement. Really if i was very hungry and needed a pizza and had only enough to get the pizza, then guess what, i get the pizza. If the pizza guy's company isnt paying good enough for him to be happy no matter what, then he can get himself a new job if he dont like it. But again i do tip. i tip good because i want to. If i get great service, it is my pleasure to make that server happy. on the OTHER HAND, i do see the point of "its your job, do it and like it......or find a better job". The only tip i ever get is "paint your rims blue after you just pained them black" or "paint your Tahoe black, after you just painted it red". lol All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
