Also excited to see new fenders and hood. This thing would look good with an 03'+ escalade front end swap lol! Or some pre runner stretched out front fenders but I'm sure you got it figured out ill just sit here and enjoy the show. Best of luck with all the work ahead of you! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! STEvil Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 update on the truck then ill get to responses. sorry for the slow ass updates...tax time taking a huge tole on my free time gotta get everyone's orders out. so i dont know what happened to the motor for 100% fact. what i do know is i have to be to a show in exactly one month so i dont have time to play the diagnose the issue game. bought a motor for it locally for cheap so i can drop that in. while the front is all apart ill be change the front fenders and hood (along with front fenders come rear fenders...i have to) so its getting wrapped again same basic designs but small changes. rear pass door is getting some work to hopefully clean it up a little. new wiring front to back (changing alt situation to be able to run on board air off the motor) sold the alts to a local so i might as well change the things that didnt work perfectly (belt situation). moving some batteries around and some wire around as well under the hood since its totally stripped right now. that should be it lol all to be done in a month gonna be a rush but i think its possible. pulling the motor tomorrow, will get the new motor pulled from other truck later next week and in the gmc next weekend hopefully. as soon as the fenders are done ill get those on and mocked up. putting e fans on it to help the belt situation lol as a side note it did play and im very happy with the results thus far My vote is crank pickup.. or distributor gear. Had them both fail on my old truck once (at different times). Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it.
