BobbyG2 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Make sure that in the headunit, Subwoofer is enabled, and the Subwoofer Level is at max. Bass level should be 0. Also, check to make sure your RCA cable is in the right input, and if your Headunit has multiple Subwoofer outputs make sure it is set to the right one. Quote *New vehicle and system coming soon.*

EVAlonSo Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 try a auxiliary cable to RCA and plug it into your phone and amplifier. play something for your phone as a source and see if it bumps. if it does you know the issue is behind the amplifier, and continue your troubleshoot. Quote
Skullz Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Your kenwood and alpine may have supported 4v input whereas the sundown may have 8v input which would be why your confusing the gain setting at. Turn your h/u up to where you normally play it at and keep turning up the gain till you can no longer get any louder once you reach that point back down a tad and you should be good to go. You may have to keep turning up and down a few times till your confident on where it stops getting louder at then just back off a bit and you should be as close to clip free as possible without a DD 1 or o-scope. screwgreen Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 got it all in again and finally got it working right. with subwoofer level at max and my amp at about 3/4 gain, she hits like 400 watts should. i cant wait until my wire gets here and then it will be seeing 1ohm.
