SoCaLBaMF
What pathway does the rain go with these 3 holes? How exactly does the rain get out from inside? Whichever way it wants to, usually down the outer door skin. Rain gets out through those holes lol.. kickass audio
The rain enters through the seal around your windows. They are rain tracks to help allow the rain to fall into the door and then drain out the bottom. The damp pro isnt that thick, using a very sharp or brand new utility knife will fix it up or get a hole punch and stab a hole through it to find the holes in the damp pro itself then cut it out a bit. They are usually the size of a sharpened end of a pencil or the eraser of a pencil. Sometimes they have rubber flaps on them like my Envoy does, some are just metal openings. They are on the outside lip of the door (if you open the door and push your fingers toward the outside they reside on the part of the door that goes down below the bump in your door to which the panel attaches to). Kinda like the ledge of the bottom of the door. RCP Audio
You could look up from the bottom of the door? you will be able to see them easily that way Quote PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/
EricM9104
So pissed right now. I'm going have to start driving with my front windows up everyday now (rains a lot in Oregon). I'll probably just roll down the back windows from now on. moh.vze.com
You could look up from the bottom of the door? you will be able to see them easily that way I just went out into my garage and looked under my door. It's all metal... As for SMD Member "Kickass Audio", I apprecrieate the detailed advice, but I don't comprehend and going have to reread it tomorow. My problem is, I don't want to break open that big seal because I worked too hard double layering that hole with Damp Pro. I've already used up all 30 sq/ft of my SS Damp Pro when I applied my baffle for the door speakers and added some more to my trunk lid earlier today. kickass audio
Basically just look at the bottom of your door, there will be like a ledge where the rubber door seal will sit against when you close the door. Right where that ledge is there is a small oval hole on them and sometimes they use rubber flaps on them to help seal them up from getting dirt and stuff in your door but they will be down there. Just take a brand new knife and cut it through the damp pro and you will be fine. Or like previously mentioned you can always drill a few new holes but i wouldnt go that route. mbdblue
just find where the holes are and stick somthing sharp to go through the SS and your holes are back and unclogged Here is the problem. I sealed off the big opening: My only opening is through the speaker hole. The other problem, SS Damp Pro is too thick for me to "feel for the hole". are these pictures of your doors in particular, or ones you got off the web? If they are yours, look at the bottom right corner of the door where is comes to a point. there's one of the holes they're talking about. it looks like you didn't cover them. they only usually run where the outer door skin meets the inner.
