Smurfboy
I've always wondered about this. From time to time, I've thought about building a wall someday, however I was told that it's consider illegal to do that. I wouldn't want to build a hardwork wall and then, all of the suddenly, a cop pulls me over and tells me to take everything down. At the same time, I just thought it was odd that the police did not do anything to stop people from building a wall when they're doing it for the big show. I understand that maybe each state has their own laws. But does anyone know about this? So is it legal or not? <---just wondering!!
MrSkippyJ
up to local laws. Mostly though, it isn't. Check local laws and check for the specifics about mirrors. volvowith18psi
AFAIK, States differ regarding the law, however, as long as you have EITHER: Both side mirrors OR a rear view. Its not illegal. -Id def. check into your states law though, don't take some random internet guys advice
Quiet
no. It would be illegal to drive a tow truck, a U haul, have a topper or tow a trailer if that were true. whoever told you that is an idiot. Quote 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. larrys95civic
Good question, I've had a couple walls and never had a issue getting pulled over. If it was illegal though I would say it's against the law to have a box van without windows as well. But of course I don't understand a lot of stupid shit that people make laws about. inm
Depends on your state. In Virginia, you're required to have any 2 rear view mirrors, and one of them HAS to be the driver's side view. So you can either get rid of your read view or your right side view. Think of work vans or similar vehicles that don't have back windows. They don't have rearviews and are still completely legal. Just check with your local police department. Don't specifically say "Hey can I have a wall in my car" but more of a "What are the laws regarding rear viewing mirrors?" MrSkippyJ
there are some states (cities, counties, towns, etc...) that differentiate between utility vehicles and passenger vehicles as far as windows being blocked or opaque. Best bet is to check local laws.
