Personally I have been using Liquid Nail since 1988 with no problems. I have also used plain would glue and silicon to seal the corners. Cashdollar2009 Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 It seems the majority on forums, as well as myself personally do use the Titebond II wood glue. If you spread it evenly and keep the pieces tight together until it dries, it has always seemed to work just fine. I typically caulk all of the inside seems regardless just in case. Overkill isn't really a bad thing here. big dee Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 Liquid nails sucks. I use titebond 2 wood glue and latex caulk on the inside seams. Silicon sucks too. Caulk is the best in my opinion that with wood glue. Great bond and airtight. Silicone works ok but over time I've seen it peel off easy. I use wood glue to put the edges together then on the inside of the box I run a bead down the joints. Then I come back overit with my corner tool I made and smooth it out.
