mttornquist Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Posted May 31, 2012 Alright so here's where I'm at with the extra half inch added to the side, the sub moved about 1 3/4" towards the non-port wall, and window enlarged; displacements are all still correct. Does everything look good to go? My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
john253a Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Looks pretty good You don't really need the baffle if you want you could use 1"on front instead of a extra baffle and just put 0.25" in baffle on Torres to simulate that You'll get the net up a bit higher, But all in all it ok
alaskanzx5 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 well, it looks alright but i dont see how a computer image will work for sub enclosure in your car? lol t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
Joe X Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 You intend to cut the plexi to that rounded shape?
alaskanzx5 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 if your talking about the rounded edges where the plexi window would be going my guess would be that the edges are to help keep the airflow smooth while giving it a nice clean look t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
john253a Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 someone hacked you account joe, your asking a few weird questions lately he planes to just screw a larger square piece of plexi across the square hole, and put the sub in the round hole. LOL
Joe X Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 I'd round the edges on the outside and place the plexi inside.... but that's just me of course.
mttornquist Posted June 1, 2012 Author Report Posted June 1, 2012 I'm going to just be bolting the plexi to the outside of the box and there will be a trim panel to clean everything up. this is sort of what it will look like completed: My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
john253a Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 your going to spend more on the plexi then the subs worth, you no that yeah that's a lot of $$$ to drop on an entry level sub just to dress it up
