You can also buy flexible mdf.

Just a thought if you need something a little less rigid. Not sure where you'd get it over stateside though.

Could possibly get the shape you want then glass it rigid.

I wasn't sure if ken had a table saw. Figured it'd be easier just to buy it with a finish on both sides.

Flexible MDF?? That stuff looks great! I wonder how strong it is.

Ken, I'd go with putting a piece of birch in there...would be way easier and cheaper to do if that way and the end result would be the same. I dunno...thats what I would do :pardon:

I'd prefer to use a circular saw and a straightedge than a table saw to do kerfing on larger pieces any day. It's a pain in the ass to kerf big pieces on a table saw unless you have a large table.

Gonna give it another shot with mdf. I found I can move the plastic trim a little in the car, so the panel won't need to bend so much to get into place. Its my last scrap of mdf, so I hope it works.

And out of nowhere, I got a whine in just my tweeters today. It doesn't change with the engine rpms, just a steady buzz/hum. Not loud enough to hear over music, luckily, but another issue I need to track down.
