Seriously though, yes most of their money is made from non-traditional "income sources" and if we invest our money in those sources we would be taxed at the same rate for profit made from those sources. One of the points is that because since such a large disproportionate amount of their income is made from these low tax sources there is a gap that a lot of people feel should be filled... given, there are also alot of people that do not feel the gap should be filled. Do you know how I got to that point? I busted my ass. I didnt want to live poor. I didnt want to live like all my friends. Hell I spent the last 7 months dedicated solely to one thing that will increase my earnings potential. I did what I had to do in order to meet my goal. I didnt bitch too loudly I just sucked it up and got it done. So instead of bitching about what someone else has to pay why not bust your ass just like the rest in order to try to get to that point? Why be content making 30-40 grand a year and living check to check? Which coincidentally. That number is roughly the number I paid INTO my taxes last year when combined with my wife. If people put half as much effort into improving theirsituation as they do complaining about what someone else makes and pays out theyd have a lot better income. Make something of yourself instead of sitting around going "its not fair!" I don't really have a direction with that statement but its just how I feel. And I don't get why tax rates are so uneven nor do I get how inflation works, basing it off the fact I paid 89 cents a gallon when I started driving. All inflation does is push people to spend less since they make the same. As far as wealthy people go, I've been a part of both worlds as my moms side of my family is broke and the other side is riiiiich, and lemme tell you, in my experiences, it's a combination of knowing the right people and education that got them to where they are now as well as investing investing and more investing. Personally, imo, how, of the millions of people in this country, do we have these two assclowns as our best candidates for leaders? Seriously, how is it that the people with the deepest pockets end up winning if its some sort of actual electoral process? Mitt wants to put power back in the states hands, I like this idea. This shit hole economy has hit the south extremely hard. Way worse than most can even try to understand. In my area we got hit hard with hurricane Katrina, started to recover and then the economy the economy started to dry up. Then the BP oil spill happened. Most local businesses are terrified to expand due to out current administration and their shitty tactics. People here are excited to make 10/hr or more. Which is sad....
