What Impresses You The Most In The Car Audio World?

I'm impressed at how powerfully everything has gotten. Also how much pressure can come out of a paper cone.

As soon as he hit the high from stickem I felt all the air get vacuumed out of my nose it was trippy as fuck.

An amp 3.5K sells for much less than a grand!!! New!!! In the good old days, that wasn't possible, oh nooo...

But... seems like the brand hugging/hate thing didn't change over all those years.

What blows my mind and impresses me is when somebody can flex something that shouldn't move from just air. Just the other day, I was even impressed at my lesser system because I was flexing the heavy chrome front bumper that is directly bolted to my frame.

I have to admit, something else that impresses me is when you are ripping metal, straight up.

I'm impressed by how different the same equipment can sound in 2 different applications/vehicles.

• When you meet well known competitors and they are as humble as can be, i.e. Alma Gates.

• the advancement in amplifier and speaker technology, yet the crappier the music quality that gets played through them, mp3s and boosting as well as using material that wasn't originally created for the purpose of showing what the system can do.

• some of the same methods of sound reproduction and placement, that was pioneered is still being used today.

Im most impressed when something is 150+ db and still has clarity. Like when people put as much time into their mids and highs as they did their bass. I hate when you hear something that's like sick heart pounding bass, and they used shitty mids and highs and it cracks and distorts so it's basically a bass machine, never to play anything well other then bass notes.

I guess the cheap ground pounders where they spend 10,000 + on bass and 300$ on mids and highs.

I love a system that can play almost anything and do it stupid loud and still clean so anyone can enjoy it

What impresses me, is the sheer number of people who will be your friend in person, and talk shit as soon as you walk away. It is absolutely impressive the energy people spend to hate on every little thing you do, call you a band-wagoner to every brand you have ever owned, and a dick rider to anyone they see fit that you know.

Just wanted to bring this back to the top. Being your friend in person or being cool to your face, but as soon as you leave, they don't hesitate to start talking shit about you. How these people conceal 2 faces, and that shit is impressive.
