So the Mechman 370 is in. No the OLD front fan Alt I had didn't work in the dual bracket. the fan rubbed on the belt.

So here is my fun for the day

Started with a Powermaster GM large case 200a front fan alt

Mounted up the new Mechman and the older style front fan alt in a dual bracket. I got excited too soon. I was told the bracket was built for the ad244 alt, but of course I had to try the new and old style alts together. The belt BECAUSE of the front fan design rubs the belt. Shit was off by like a 1-2mm :(

Since I had issues that were old alt design issues. I removed the Powermaster and only mounted the Mechman 370 and used a Stinger dual ring terminal.

why not add electric fans or put a spacer on the fan you have to give you more clearance?

edit: real simple fix.. you just have to find the size you need. the electric fan though i would do.. you free up ponies and you gain 200 amps with the 2nd alt.. and the ponies you free up are very noticeable

you think like I do. The 200a alt was origanally for electrilc fans, RF 500bd and a 400.4. As you have seen the smaller build never happened back in 2002. Still need to buy the electric fans, it is part of the final plan.
Plenum spacer didn't happen yet either :(

whats with the voltage

Shit batteries. Soon to be replaced. Their not designed to keep up the pull from a system. UPS batteries are not a good idea :(

Also low 650-750rpm idle doesn't help the Alt do it's job.
