Here you can see that I taped off the cup holders and added bondo along the sides of it. Around the round corners, I added a couple of pieces of wood to fill in those areas but you can't see it in these pics. Hope these help.

I just did an console with the same cup holders and i just build the surrounding up with bondo and some wood pieces to go on the front and rear of the cup holders. I'll look to see if i have pictures of it. Great build though. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
