ToNasty Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 i understand that. im just saying would there be a differance in sound between the 4 and 6" port. i understanf i have to change the length ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
SLAYER1805 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 ok would there be a differance in using a 6" port (obviously i would take that into consideration with port lenght) A 6" inch will give you more port area than a 4", I've read things that said your port area will not be effected no matter the length but I've also read others that say otherwise, so I'm not entirely sure on that, I'd like to know an answer too lol
C-Fizzy Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 Well if you increase port area then yes you increase your amount of port. So you'd need to adjust port length to account for your tuning frequency. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
certifiednut Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 also dont forget that the total length of psp ports new are 18 overall, but they are 17 inches due to an inch of total length subtracted because of the flare. at least on the 4 and 6 inch ones, i dont know about the others. these orphans aren't going to feast on themselves
ToNasty Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 so i shouldnt even bother with a 6" then. just stay at 4 ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
SLAYER1805 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 Your box specs are close to mine, mines bigger by .3 cubic foot and is tuned to 35, pretty close to the tuning you want too and had great results so I say go for the 4", that's my opinion lol
ToNasty Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 thats what i figured. i just want it to be musical all around. ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
