Its kind of noobish to calculate subs by their max rating and equate rise and voktage drop...who does that? You plan for the worse not the best. You have 10k on tap you run XLs those amps will rape the 4s even with upgrades you will be reconing quickly. Next up is your electrical. Even with a beefy batt bank you are going to drain yourself trying to demo and I dont see the vic liking dual alts at all. I would honestly look at a 7.5k and call it a day then uou can run 4s all day. I really think youre going about this build the wrong way. ALl of us in here giving advice started somewhere and worked our way up. We all know youre a noob and I seriously think youre trying to go to big to fast. I would keep the 18s run them the ssds will take some power if done right and I would work on my electrical little by little. If no one gave a shit then we would let you crash and burn but you have people giving you advice all of which who have been in your shoes before. I would really step back from this build and think for a sec. Youre going to be putting yourself in a bind in the sense that you wont be able to demo or play because you dont have the electrical to supply the demand. Next thing is why is 3 175.4s necessary? Thats a lot of mids/high power and I honestly dont see the need when running pro audio I think 2 would suffice. JUst my .02 cents but of course do what makes you happy. Its not mine, so it won't hurt me. Just legit concerns. I'm gonna have to agree with ken here...You have VERY weak electrical for that kind if power, I've been there with 3 3100s and 2 dc5ks not enought, at all! I now have 7 3100s and 2 750.1s (dc7.5k) and its still weak electrical with dual Alts Good luck with Dcs, I think you should just do the 18s you have and switch when you have money and can afford to get proper subs for the power... Personally I wouldn't run more than rated to a dc sub; that's what AA/Fi is for. 2x rated power and up Its funny you say that. People were telling me my Fi subs could not handle much over RMS even fully loaded.Im working on the electrical. Its very hard to fit a second alt in my car its near impossible. Tell that to my 1st gen ssd 15 rated at 800rms seeing over 1k on a saz1000d at .35 nominal I always wondered why DC reps tell people do smaller boxes even on rated power?????????? Don't you shrink the box if your overpowering a sub? In that's case carbon your gonna have to ditch close to 7 cubes rather than 5 lol I won't comment on electrical as its been beaten to death down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups ^^ Cant wait to swalllow Ghost's babies

Do you that engine has the power to spin them properly... That's gonna be a lot of bog on that lil engine IDE go for 3 SSD 15s on a single 5k and be happy... Do a ohm load like .66 you would be set.. he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Tony D'Amore himself said " more batteries only help in the situations were the voltage fell below 12.6V, since another battery is just a load to the alternator over 12.6V So why then would more batteries be better than more alternators?
