What results have you seen with deadening?

I have a 03 Mitsubishi Lancer that has thin metal skin everywhere. I put 80 mil coolmat sound deadener and 1/8" dynomat acoustic foam in all 4 doors. Before my T265 comps had now midrange and sounded like $50 speakers, and after deadening they sound like the $400 dollar speakers they should be. Doors are like 98% sealed right now, it took alot of work but way worth it. Now i have my trunk lid to do and a few other areas but inside the cab is SQ now compared to before. A must do and do right process.

Make sure you clean that old stuff up real good before putting in the new deadener.

And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle ;)

Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth..

I'll probably get shit for this, but I put some in anticipation for my component speakers. I have 2 sets of Digital Designs 6.5" components that will eventually go in the Jeep (2010 Jeep Patriot). I just did the doors, and put a double layer where the speaker hits against the door. Right away, I noticed a HUGE difference in mid-bass, response and quality. These are with the stock shitty speakers. I would have hated putting the DD's in without this stuff. Makes a great big deal in the quality and sound.

I put some second skin on my doors to improve my mid bass, I got very good results. It even eliminated the hollow sound my door made when I closed it.

Don't know what happened but around 2 months ago my doors started to sound like it didnt have any deadener on them agn. Like I got the hollow sound when I would close the doors.... Mid bass still sounds good tho, I don't know what happened.

I got great results. 90+ sq feet in my car. No more rattles, better lows, better SQ... Doors feel more solid. Deaden for sure

I have 48 sq feet second skin, much better midbass response from door speakers, less flex on the hatch and roof, and door panels feel more solid now, along with less road noise. Definitely reccommend.

depends entirely on the car and application, my explorer drops 1.3 dbs if i apply deadning on the hatch and sounds a lot quieter, sucked ass there, deadning on the roof and doors was a gain on the meter and lows were louder, definitely sounds cleaner!
My Suzuki Swift has deadning all over the place and sounds better than before, more SQ, lost a Little bit of output on the meter and to the ears, but sounded better so i didn´t mind, dropped my peak from 43 to 40 hz iirc.
