How to make a sub box - With a CIRCULAR SAW

Recommended Posts

Many times I have been asked: "What if I don't have a table saw, how can i still make a good box?"

This video answers that question. Enjoy!

All I have ever used is a circular saw. MDF is a very forgiving material as well. Granted, I have tons of experience with circular saws from previous employment, but the ease of cutting straight lines in this stuff is pretty high - even without a guide or jig. If you can see your line and your blade and take your time I don't see the need for a table saw.

I also use a sircular saw with a home made guide, works great!

The only problem I've been having is that I got a cheap Bosch saw. It's kind of flimsy so it's hard to get perfect 90* cuts.

I use a circular saw as well, always have. I have a 10' piece of heavy gauge 3inch angle iron i use as a fence. Works quite well.

YEah if you don't have a table saw with a huge fence its much easier with the circular.
