Purplehaze
Impressive man. Great job. Thank you sir! I love inverted subs. Those Skars are sexy, too. Ne too. Just looks mean IMO. Build looks sick iv followed it since it started with the 2 L5's sick work as usual but i may have missed when the kickers went out and skars came in Thanks man. Yeah I bought the Skars last year, just never got to use them. It was kind of an impulse decision. I think they are decent subs, but I wish I would have waited tbh. Maybe I'll feel different after I hear them? I would have loved to have stayed w/ Kicker, but they have no interest in showing me any love in return. DC and Skar both made me good offers, so I went with them. However, I hope to swap the Skars out sometime in the future for something w a lil more x max... But my L5's were damn good subs that's for sure. And thanks for following along! sick build. get work. Ty, yessir! super sick work bro, speechless.............. Thanks bro! I'm gettin really excited about it now! Also, I got some more work in on it yesterday, pics are uploading now. Brb w an update for ya'll! Purplehaze
Got a little bit done yesterday, started by putting it all together inside the car. No screws yet.Love this shotSo now lets build the sealed section. Start with the sides, and the top angle.Only way I know to do angles. 28 degrees... will need to know this.Test fit, looks good!Top piece with two angles. I was proud of this cutThen I cut the back piece, and wasn't thinking obviously. Forgot to do the angle to match the other board. Damn it! Oh well I can make it work. This one turned out well Kickin' Cruiser Seller Feedback Stage 3 Dash, Door Panels,4th Order wall 4 - 15'son a DC 5.0K 2 DC 5.0K'sSolo X 15 (v.2) Sub Build
Purplehaze
Then I cut a second layer for the inside. Every board in this build is double or triple layeredAnd every lamination is done with Tightbond II. After usinf both Tb 2 and 3, I prefer 2. Also, I came up with a use for a few of the scrap angles. Bracing! Now it just needs bracing. But first, another test fit!And that was it for the day, next up is bracing. Thanks for checkin' it out! scooter99
Nicely done man. I would say tape the sides, and pour some glue in that seam and call it a day. Or just glass over it, that would work too. I've done that numerous times cutting angles etc. This thing is coming along nicely!
