ZachG
Ok so I got 2 obsidian 12s on a zx1500 at 2ohms in a 3.5cu custom box tuned to 31hz sealed from the trunk. I did a short 5 min full tilt demo which I do it a lot longer at times & it started smelling like burnt coil but the dust caps on the subs weren't even warm. Any reason for this? 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. sundownz
The dust caps won't get hot on the Obsidian woofers -- there is a former cap below that; the hot air doesn't touch the cap directly at all. - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
